For the people who want to upgrade their existing PC, they are often faced with the question of whether their PC can run the new Windows version or not. More "Destination Folder Access Denied" buffoonery

Hello all. I've read through all the sections on this forum that deal with this problem and I cannot resolve it. I've also read through the tutorials posted by Brink on setting UAC levels via the Local Security Policy and still no dice. Very simple problem: I downloaded iTunes installer for 64-bit systems as well as the Quicktime installer. Neither would work (another story for another thread I suppose) so I wanted to delete them. That's when I get the infamous "Destination folder access denied" nonsense. The files are in my user account folder that is on the desktop. I'm running Vista Ultimate and computer is less than two weeks old. I made sure to cha…

In case you missed it Jane, Eric and the Microsoft Update team have provided some great blog posts about how IE8 is offered to users via Automatic Updates and Windows …
