Internet Explorer is releasing an out-of-band update available via Windows Update. Alternatively, you can receive this and all other Microsoft updates via the new Microsoft Update. I encourage you to upgrade to Microsoft Update if you haven’t already to ensure that you receive the latest updates for all Microsoft products. This update addresses three privately reported vulnerabilities which could allow remote code execution. The security update addresses the vulnerability by modifying the way Internet Explorer handles objects in memory and table operations. In addition, the update includes two defense-in-depth protections against known techniques that are able t…

For some reason, I can't start any perfomance logs. A search on Altavista and Bing.com did not come up with anything that would fix this problem. Anyone have any things for me to check for ? PsTools which is supposed to run on XP, doesn't on mine. These next 2 programs let an Admin run programs with lower privileges, but none of these are working as they should. (I have Net Framework 2.0 installed.) SetSafer works with Internet Explorer but not with Firefox 3.51. DropMyRights also doesn't work. Thanks, Andy

I am having some configuration issues with hooking up a wireless client to a windows XP pro machine. I have a Belkin N router in a location hooked to the internet. It works fine locally. I have a remote XP PRO machine i am trying to wirelessly hook to this network. I have two access points. One is a small USB unit that is more or less plug and play. It is DHCP and does work ok. I just cannot move it far from the machine using the USB cable. The other access point is a linksys WAP-54G. I cannot get his unit to get internet off the Belkin wirelessly. On the same machine the USB access point works. The WAP54 has a single ethernet port which connects to …

Hi, we have a problem with users authentication on workstations after installing SP3. We are using 802.1x authentication and we have also defined Log on to options for users (logon workstations) in the AD. After installing SP3, users can't logon to workstations (authentication failure message appeared). If Log on To options is not defined users authentication is successfull. With SP2 there was no problems. Thank you in advance

All electronic equipment that plugs into a wall socket needs protection without it your computer equipment will likely be damaged by the surges, spikes, sags and brownouts that afflict our electrical systems in one bug rush or gradually eating away at your electronics. The answer is Surge Protection, this is a device that sits between your PC and the electrical mains, a surge protector regulates the current to connected equipment by either blocking or shorting to ground any unsafe voltage. Most Surge Protectors are in a strip or box form, surge protectors have several power outlets to plug into. Better versions will also have at least one data outlet to protect a telephon…
