In the CNG SDK, creation of a custom asymmetric algorithm is provided. However, I would like to create an asymmetric encryption algorithm instead. Are there any available samples? Specifically, can anyone guide me as to the creation of the interface for BCRYPT_CIPHER_FUNCTION_TABLE? Thanks. -- Scratchhead

O.K., I have now tried to post this question three times. Hopefully three times is a charm. I am running Windows XP SP3 Home. My daughter has an identical computer to mine. Originally I was managing her mp3 player (a Creative Zen) from my computer. No problems. She wanted to do it on her computer and is now having problems. We put the software on her computer and at the end of the install, it asks to connect the mp3 player. We did this and it said that the install was complete and a success, however, when I tried to manage some songs, the computer said that the player wasn't connected. I didn't understand this, so I uninstalled the software …

I had put up a post earlier about my audio breaking up whenever I have been on the internet for awhile streaming videos from youtube or news web sites. Also, when downloading music from Rhapsody. I have a 10 Mbps internet speed , 4GB Ram and a quad core intel processor. I did a random test of internet speed today and saw I was only getting 3.5 Mbps. The Isp provider had me disconnect my DSL modem and router and then reconnect but that did not fix the problem. However, as soon as I rebooted and di the speed test and it was back up over 10 Mbps. Rebooting also gets my audio and internet speed back where it belongs. Has anyone else run into this proble…

I read this a couple days ago and thought I'd pass it along to everyone. That is an awesome price for a 3 pack of Windows 7 Home Premium. I am going to buy at least one of the 3 packs of Windows 7 Home premium. One for my netbook, one for my laptop and one as a spare. Can't beat the price that's for sure. Link to the article.

It does, presumably all by itself. Why? That and the icon for internet connectivity showed an X instead of a globe. I was connected to the internet the whole time. I had my thoughts it were a private network, but I was still connected to my ISP. Wireless connectivity was turned off by my hand, front of the laptop weeks before. Just as I turned on this laptop, there was a flash of white across the top of the screen. Straight across the screen. -- W. K. [Crosspost to Vista Security] What "original 2003 CD" are you referring to (e.g., a CD that came with your WinXP computer a NIS 2003 CD)? If the Vista computer came with a trial version of any Norton application installed, you will have to (1) uninstall it and (2) download & run the Norton Removal Tool before installing any other anti-virus application or security suite (including a Norton application). -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Client - since 2002 Carol & Ray Reilly wrote: > I just bought a New Dell Inspiron 546 with 4 GB of RAM and a AMD 9650 Quad > processor running Vista Home Premium. Curious what the repercussions are when a roaming user who typically logs on to Windows XP 32 bit PC, logs on to a Windows XP 64 bit computer. I'm leaning towards just disabling roaming profiles from AD for this particular user, but if it won't negatively affect the user experience when switching back and forth between computers, I'd rather keep roaming profiles enabled. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks.
