Anytime I set my monitor to sleep mode, the screen will turn all black as it should, and in about 4 seconds it returns from sleep and just stays on. This happens every time without fail. Any ideas on how to address this? -- amadeusmozart

After any reboot of my vista system, I am losing certain preferences and have to re-enter them again. For example, on TVguide.com, I lose my location, grid settings, display preferences, etc. On wunderweather.com, I lose my saved cities. Not all my preferences are lost, such as signon info such as user names and passwords. I am not erasing cookies for the affected sites, so what is erasing this information on boot up?

I read Tbrox's reply to another user's problem with Shadow Copy Utility stalling at beginning of backup suggesting a resolution in Component Services but I cannot open this service without the screen locking up. I can only continue by using Cntrl/Alt/Delete to close the applications - Component Services and Shadow Copy Ba…
