    I have a problem with the thumbnails in Vista. I have a lot of videos and have two external hard drives on which i store them. My OS somehow is only able to retain the thumbnails for one external drive and the local drive. when i connect another external hard drive, ALL my current thumbnails are deleted and new ones are regenerated. if i don't switch between hard drives then i have no problem.     Hello! explorer.exe uses 90% of CPU after opening a HDD in a windows explorer window for minutes. Other windows accounts do not have this problem. I stopped the Windows Search service and in 6 hours the explorer.exe stopped using 90% of CPU after opening a HDD. How to cure my account? CPU is Intel E6750, RAM 6Gb, Windows Vista sp2 x64.     I have a new Acer Aspire 6930 Laptop, everything is working fine except when I try to log off or switch users. I have had the laptop for about 2 months and I haven't had any problems with it. now all of a sudden I try to switch users the screen goes blank. I can see the activity lite working but nothing shows up. I can press the power button and it shuts down properly. Any Answers would be great.     can anyone tell me how to add microphone in playback? i am using sony vaio laptop window xp sigmatel driver. my friend helped me enable the mic long ago and it disappear after I restore my laptop to an earlier time.     My HP Multimedia PC is two years old. It worked fine until the host of large Vista updates were downloaded and installed. I have not installed any software other than the updates. I got my new UpToDate DVD today. When I tried to install it, autoplay didn't bring autostart the software installation. In fact, when I looked at the files on the DVD via "Computer", the auto file was grayed out. The PC could read that the file was there but not run it. The setup file would not run.
