I don’t understand the rationale of Microsoft why they have to give out the features of Windows 7 to Windows Vista particularly the ribbon look and feel. In an update on October, Microsoft is pushing this update to Windows Vista users. This report first came out from istartersomething.com which is written by Long Zheng. Until recently, the Backup Utility ran scheduled backups to a mapped network drive without problems. Very recently (within about a week) that stopped. I am able to run manual backups to the same location, but the scheduled backups all yield the same report: Backup Status The operation was not performed because the specified media cannot be found. I have some Windows XP workstations that I need to remove from a windows 2003 domain and join them to a new Windows 2008 domain. Is there an easy and quick way to keep their existing user profile after I join the workstions to the new domain so their desktop settings, favorites and applications look and work the same? I do not want to use roaming profiles as the servers are in different locations. Hello On numerous occasions I have manually disabled Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service on my Vista Home Premium machine. It stays 'Disabled' for a while, but eventually I discover that WIA service is running again (and its startup type changed to 'Automatic'). Unfortunately so far I was unable to catch the culprit. I have no idea when exactly it switches from 'Disabled' to 'Automatic'. Does anyone know what/who is responsible for changing the startup type for the service behind my back? Any ideas appreciated. Hi, How can I lose sound on some websites but have it when I click on one of my sound files on the computer itself? I had downloaded the Babylon Translator but then took it back off and restarted the computer. Any suggestions on how to get the sound back? I have Vista Home Premium. Thanks
