Re: Vista "Photos" screen saver causes repeated errors
by Guest tanemera- 0 replies

I cured this problem on my brand new HP PC Pavilion desktop by only loading photos having a file size of a few hundred KB in jpeg format. If I include photos from my new camera it won't run. My new camera produces files that are up to 5 MB. Strangely, my other (notebook) PC, also running Vista Basic, has no problem running all my photos on screen saver and simply ignores files that are not in jpeg format, for example, .mov files. Some of these Vista problems defy explanation! -- tanemera ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tanemera's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/113895.htm View this thread: http://fo…

Playing Vob Files In Media Player 10 + 11 Hi everyone! There is a popular problem for everyone who couldn't play vob files on Winmedia. Also, we could play DVD on Winmedia but cannot play vob files even they are taken from DVD. Suprisingly, once I found an easy way to play vob file on Winmedia without installing any code for Winmedia. First of all, you should open "Folder Option" on the folder toolbar. Then chose VIEW tap. Also, uncheck the section "Hide extensions for known file types." After that, you could see the file types of all your vob files. Fially, change the vob files into avi files. Then you could play vob files as avi files on Winmedia. …

I have been trying to fix some errors encountered with several programs running under Vista SP2. Errors: Paperport v11.1 fails during a repair with error 1721. During a repair of Paperport v11.1 I got an installer error 1721 and the repair had to be canceled. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. Problems appeared when trying to drag a scanned document to the email link at the bottom of the screen. the system just froze and I had to use task manager to kill the job. Okay, So I registered just to post this. I DL ed the process tree thing from previous post. At first, it cannot identify which sub process in my system process that took most of the CPU %. a few seconds later, I foolishly (and fortunately) decided to just kill all the system tree, this caused my comp to go BSOD and blahblahblah. after one restart later, the system CPU usage went down to 5%! I dont know what did it, but it just works like a charm. -- freedude
