Some apps no longer saving passwords...
by Guest Howard Woodard- 0 replies

I tried this in the user accounts group but got no nibbles. Trying again in this group... ========================================= I recently had a problem with MSN Explorer that the MS techs thought might be caused by a corrupted user profile. They had me create a new account and then, using the procedure from the MS KB, copy everything over to the new account. It turns out that the MSN problem didn't have anything to do with the account profile but by this time the new account had been created, everything moved over and, since I didn't have room for a complete duplicate account, the original account deleted. All of my apps are installed for everyone …

by Guest BILL4444- 0 replies

I am getting these events about 3 times a minute.Service Control Manager-event ID 7023 comes up first. Then RASMEN comes up with event ID 20035.They come up in the event viewer/system.Not sure if this means anything in event viewer/application I get USERENV 1517. This happens when I close the computer down. I reloaded an older copy of the registry but it came back. First I had tried shutting down ZA to see if it would help and it didn't. With the RAACM ,RACM both on manual I tried to see if I could start one or both.I couldn't. I received those errors when trying to start either one of those. The event log was from one of those events and not when I tried t…

Disk Drive is write protected or Read only
by Guest RobinPWMC- 0 replies

Hi All, Had issue that has been described here, where a disk in the system was in read only. In my case this was a 250Gb Raid 1 array. After reading a few posts I got onto the right track. Using diskpart to fix. However instructions were brief to say the least so here is my CMD prompt sequence (discovery hacking removed!) In CMD box enter '*diskpart*' DISKPART> *help select disk* Selects the specified disk and shifts the focus to it. Syntax: SELECT DISK= DISK= The disk number of the disk to receive focus. If no disk number is specified, the select command lists the disk that currently has the focus. You can view the numbers for all dis…
