Brad Brooks, corporate vice president for Windows Consumer Product Marketing, discusses Microsoft’s take on netbook PCs and how Microsoft’s newest operating system, Windows 7, will support these small computers. Small, mobile and affordable PCs, often referred to as “netbooks” or “mini-notebooks,” were one of 2008’s hottest technology trends. Virtually unknown a year ago, these PCs pushed the design innovation envelope by enabling easy Web surfing, instant messaging, general-purpose computing (e.g., e-mail, social networking and photo sharing) and media playback in one small, ultra-portable device. This convenience, coupled with an affordable price tag, makes these PCs…

multiple .inf file templates applied on the same 2003 server?
by Guest Martin Williams- 0 replies
Hello all, I have been given two .inf template files to apply to a 2003 Std. Ed. SP2 server. I have looked through each .inf file and they seem to have different, not conflicting settings. My questions are Can I apply both templates to the server (via the import method) and will they both apply? Or will applying the second .inf file replace the settings generated by the first? Presumably any conflicting values held by each .inf file would be updated. So for example if 1.inf changed a password setting and 2.inf changed the same setting, the setting would be taken from 2.inf I i applied them in order? Any help/advice/links would be greatly appr…
