Hi All, I've been trying to resolve a sticky issue. We are getting this issue on two of our servers Description: The shadow copies of volume E: were deleted because the shadow copy storage could not grow in time. Consider reducing the IO load on the system or choose a shadow copy storage volume that is not being shadow copied. We are looking at shadow copies on three partitions on one disk. C:, D:, and E: The shadow copies are scheduled 15 minutes apart 7:15, :30 and :45 am. C:'s limit is set to 3127MB and it uses 3000MB, D: is set to 10435MB and it uses 10001MB, E: is set to 10435MB and it uses 3000MB. The E: drive is the one reporting the error. The …

Automount issue
by Guest Phillip Armitage- 0 replies
I've a Windows 2003 32bit server containing two sets of mirrored drives (C and E drives), and a fibre channel card connecting it to a SAN. In order to prevent Windows from trying to automount the volumes that it sees on the SAN, diskpart has been used to disable automounting. Problem is, with automount turned off, when rebooted the server only sees its C drive (System disk). The E drive is not automatically assigned it's drive letter E. I have to use Partition Management to assign this, every time I reboot. I understand that this is expected behaviour. My question is, is there a way that I can get the E drive to mount at boot up, perhaps through a b…

Just a reminder you still have time to download and install Windows 7 RC. You have until August 20TH to grab yourself a copy. You'll be able to run the RC until March of 2010. By then you'll more than likely be running the final version anyway. So if you still don't have Windows 7 RC and want to see what the final version will be like before you spend the money to upgrade then download Windows 7 Release Candidate now before it's too late.
