Can anyone tell me how the partition tables are set for this old HP Media Center system box - m7425.uk, i.e. if someone reading this has one, all parameters for both partitions would be a big help. TIA regards, Richard

I have a 2003 Terminal server with dual quad 2.33GHz proc and 32gig of memory windows SP2. I have 20-30 users connecting to this machine daily they are complaining that is takes for every just to log in most of the time they get profiles can't be loaded. I have applied every fix MS suggests regarding this issue still no luck. They all say the performance is very poor most of the time it takes 10 min.. just for office to load. I look at the performance monitor when they are complaining and none of the proc's are working and only about a 1-3 gig of memory is being used? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Why did you call yourself a retard? Self-loathing is not just weird, although justified if you s***d so badly but you were fine, it may also indicate depresseion. Are you depressed? Get outside, play with squirrels.

Hi, I have been removing old unnecessary data from a Windows 2003 Server w/ SP2. I created a folder called “Lost and Foundâ€. If I was not entirely sure if I could remove a folder I moved it to the “Lost and Found†folder to be dealt with later. Here is the odd part. Overnight on three occasions folders, that obviously contained production data, have been moved into my new “Lost and Found†folder. I did not move the folders. None of our other staff have moved the folders. Is there some significance to naming a folder “Lost and Found†that I am not aware of? I have searched TechNet and Google and cannot find any significance to naming a folder …

I seem to have lost a whole folder of txt files and I cannot understand why or what happened. The files were moved from one hard drive to another on the same computer using cut and paste in WinXP. This was done in batches over 5 months of time The files originally had a .srt extension but were simple text files. Using a shareware batch program I changed the extension to .txt. I've used this same program dozens of times before. When I went to open the files in notepad they were blank. Checking the file with a hex editor and it is all zeros. We're talking about hundreds of files now completely wiped out. What could have happened?

I have been testing Server 2008 R2 RemoteApps. If I leave a program up for a while, it eventually goes to a screen that asks for my password. On the Terminal Server, the session still shows as Active, so I don't think it has anything to do with session timeouts (which are all set to Never in multiple places as I have been troubleshooting this). So far, I don't see a consistent amount of time before this happens. It will definitely happen if the program is left up overnight, but I've had it happen during the day as well. I have turned off the power management on my network card to try to eliminate the possibility of that breaking the connection and cau…
