I've followed, a number of times, the steps you provide and continue to receive the 80070005 error. I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium on an HP Pavilion m9250f quad core and the HP w2408h monitor. Microsoft Movie Maker a Worthy Download
by Guest NewsBot- 0 replies

Microsoft Movie Maker keeps on improving and given that this is a free video editing tool, it is definitely worth to download it. This is already the third iteration of this software which debuted in Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition. The same version was shipped with Windows XP but this software didn’t get enough positive notes to have mass usage because it lacked so many features even the basic DVD burning or playing various multimedia disc formats outside the proprietary realms. The second generation Movie Maker was far better when it added DVD output and a number of editing improvements. I didn’t really [...]Post from: Windows Vista Weblog More...

If you are still in Windows XP or Windows Vista, you might be thinking how long it takes to upgrade from your Windows box to Windows 7. Don’t get carried away with all the of reports saying that the upgrade is a breeze and simple enough. I do agree it should be a simple process, that is if you are upgrading from a Windows Vista fresh installation to a Windows 7 fresh installation. There are so many things you need to do to prepare for an upgrade and the following are items you should consider: 1. File backups – [...]Post from: Windows Vista Weblog More...

They both essentially boil down to executing some FOR commands that look similar to this: for /f "tokens=4 usebackq" %%a in ('a b c d e f g h') do echo %%a According to the docs, that command should produce the command "echo d", which should in turn echo the d character to the screen. In fact that does happen. However, quite oft…

Tape Backup Software for WS 2008 R2
by Guest David P. Lurie- 0 replies
Just purchased new server, as well as WS 2008 Standard 64 bit, with external LTO tape drive. R2 is already available for download from MS eOpen Vol License site, so elected to use it rather than install WS 2008 SP2 and perform in-place upgrade later. All of the new product info on Windows Server 2008 on the MS web site relates to R2, so expected critical third party software to be compatible by time MS released the OS version. Backup Exec 12.5 was thought to support R2 by the hardware vendor, but didn't function after installation other than recognizing the tape drive, allowing erase jobs, but unable to perform backups. Symantec tech support indicate…
