I am using Office 2003 SP3. On this PC only (Dell M6300 laptop), can't seem to get excel to launch a specific slide, always just launches the first slide. tried copy and paste hyperlink and seems like it adds the correct additions to the filename (path/filename.ppt,256,2 nickname). I also tried the "=hyperlink(path/filename....)" and didn't work either. tried changing the hyperlink to path/filename.ppt#2 with no luck. Is there something about my PC settings or the app settings I need to change?

I have been getting an error where the automatic updates to my system fail. There are 4 updates that have continuously been trying to run...the system goes through installation, reboots my machine and when it restarts I am told the updates failed. I have also tried shutting down to install the updates...goes through installation at shutdown, configuration at start up, then when I log in the same message that the updates failed. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) cleanly installed about 3 months ago. The updates are: Visual Studio 2005 - Security update for Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB973923) …
