For Dynamic Disk Invalid, typecally your operating system can't support for dynamic disk. such as WinXP Home Edition, Win7 Home Edition will show a dynamic invalid disk in disk management. It seems that Dynamic Disk Converter 3.0 can revert an dynamic unreadable disk and invalid dynamic disk back to basic disk. I tested the program on VMware fine. -- larysee

I have vista and office 2007. I created a .accdb file and wasn't able to open by clicking the icon for the file. I can goto access and open it fine. I tried to reassign the file association for accdb, but the recommended program was "2007 Microsoft Office Component". I tried to select msaccess.exe but system won't allow the association. have read other issues about word doing this for 2007. The answer is proving elusive. Any suggestions?

I have office 2007 enterprise and I cannot open an .accdb (access) file from the location of the file by double clicking. If I try, I get a message "...not a valid win32 application." I can open the file with access menu. When I try to reassociate the file, I cannot select msaccess.exe! it only shows "2007 microsoft office component. Any suggestions?

Hi, For no apparent reason my HP 1040i DVD writer has stopped reading burned data CDs. I post the question here as it is readable on my wife's Windows 7 laptop. I also thought it might be to do with Roxio as, under properties, "Use with DLA" is permanently ticked but I have tried on another 2000 installation without Roxio with the same result. Any help would be appreciated. Ken

Hi. I have Vista with Microsoft 2003. I am trying to download the Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, Powerpoint File Formats. When I hit the 'Download' tab, I get the message the my "current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded". I have tried lowering the security (Internet Options) - but it still does not allow it. Any ideas? Whenever I go into "Properties" on an mp3 file and update information (Album Title, Year, Track Number, etc.) and click "Apply"/"OK", XP will blip the file and the Artist name suddenly gets extra outlined boxes or other weird characters added to the of the name. This even happens after I play a song through Windows Media Player. It doesn't happen EVERY time, but it easily occurs more than 50%. I get the feeling there is a registry error in XP, but I honestly don't know. This started happening after I received a recent critical Windows update about 3 or 4 months ago. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Hi there, We have a server that gets rebooted, for contingency purposes, every 2 weeks but a particular folder always loses the share setup on it. We are running Win2000 sp4. Is it a setting in the registry that needs changing? Many thanks for your help. Gloria

That was helpful--thank you. What may be even better, and more flexible, is to set up a keyboard shortcut that will paste unformatted text. How to do that is explained at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA010429611033.aspx The instructions there show how to reprogram Ctrl-V, but I think the method could be used for any key combination you like. -- MDeB

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but this is top result in Google if you search for "All Users Start Menu Vista" however there's no satisfactory answer on the thread. The All Users portion of the Start Menu now lives in the following location *-C:-\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu* Hope this helps someone out there looking for the answer. -- Valiante

I can get items to copy into the clipboard. But then I often cannot get those items to paste into an Office 2003 program ... Access, Outlook, Word .... until I reboot. This happens about twice a week. I do a LOT of cut and paste in my work so I really use the clipboard feature.

Instead of the online help displaying as it should, the content of the Help window is completely blank. The user reports this happened quite a while back, so doing a System Restore would be shooting in the dark. Is there some registry change to make to get this working as it should?

OFFICE 2007 TRAIL just expired on my new PC, thus the trail was UNINSTALLED, using the UNINSTALL option in CONTROL PANEL. I use Office 2003 Professional infrequently. I abhor old, out of date or unnecessary files on my machine so I was surprised to fiind all of the Office 07 updates taking up room on my pc. Can I delete all Office 2007 updates amd ensure my Office 03 will run properly? I am on a Win 7 platform. Thanks for any input!! I realy appreciate any feedback in regards to this issue. I wish the uninstall feature would remove bit of software, esp with all of Trials and Beta products available. Susann

I thought IE8 might be the problem on my system and actually it was due to me changing the standard DPI from 96 under display settings. changed it back and now the cpu meter works. You might want to look at this. -- genekorn Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com
