Suggestion for the better. When using Tab Groups and I want to open a new tab group from a link. Why is there no quick menu or keyboard shortcut to do it? When not using Tab Groups and want old IE7 behavor back. Why not let the user decide with options? I am not using IE8 until it works like i want to. I just imported contacts from my private mobile phone to Outlook 2007 and everthing seemed to work just fine until I realized that all the numbers that I had classified as "mobile numbers" in my phone, ended up in a Field called OTHER in Outlook. The information in this field does not end up in my company mobile phone. Therefore, I would like to edit all these contacts at the same time, to move the number in the colums called "other" to the one called "mobile phone" in Outlook and then sync it with my company mobile phone to get all this information in both of my phones. It should be possible, right?

Hi! I had similar problem today with Vista & Word 2003. I solved the problem by simply changing the name of Word start up-file from program files -> Microsoft office etc. (from WINWORD to WORD). After I changed the name I was also able to choose word as a default problem. -- jiitampio

I'd like to post a huge 'thank you' to Poly Morphism. My favorite links was empty because I was trying to find 300 GB of "hidden files" (it was my Adobe Bridge cache) and in the process deleted most of the files in my username folder. You might try going to tomshardware.com and looking at their reviews. The put processors and whole systems through serious tests and compare. I'd bet they do the same for video cards. They list what test suites they use to exercise them. See what they test them with and see if you can get the same.

I too had this problem - on two different computers with Vista. Was trying to install Office 2007 on one of them, and was just trying to install Office 2007 updates on the other. I couldn't install or update the program. I changed the UAC - turned it off made sure the "permissions" were set to allow all users to use the temporary folder turned off the firewall - nothing worked. I saw in one of the posts that someone disabled Carbonite... well, I never would have thought that would be an issue, but sure enough, when I disabled Carbonite, it then allowed me to install. -- chrissutton Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com

I tried to use network location in Vista and map it to a Sharepoint library. I got an error message that the folder could not be found. The library and folder does exist. In XP, I was able to map the document library with no problem.

I have a large 335MB file called 1189c4.msp in my c:\windows\installer folder. It is the Office 2007 SP2 installer file. I assume it is there to allow an uninstall of SP2? Can I somehow safely clean it out or delete it?

I have a problem with an XP share. I could access this share from my server 2008 R2 DC but had to enter a login and password each time. I decided to tick remember password to avoid this. Now I cannot access the share. It keeps saying Username does not exist. I can map a drive letter to it and tick use different credentials but each time I have to do this. Obviously this name/password has been cached somewhere. How do I get rid of this cached password so that it goes back to the way it was?
