I have a brand new Dell Latitude laptop, with ALL Windows and MS-Office patches updated. When I type in the proxy exceptions, and click OK, it does not save the list. This is a recent problem. We have been using proxy exceptions for years. TIA...Neil

Just recently I have been unable to download email attachments that require word. I have Office 2007. When I download a mail attachment (any mail, Yahoo etc, not just Outlook) I get a File conversion message pop up. It doesn't matter what I click on, nothing opens, well it does but you can't read it. This never used to happen.

Im not sure if you have the same setup, however, a cleint of ours uses MDaemon with Outlook Connector as the plugin. The error messages were the same as those mentioned above, furthermore, Outlook freezes whenever it downloads emails and the only way to get out of Outlook was to end the task through Task Manager. I found that it had trouble downloading the RSS feeds so after deleting those feeds, the problem disappeared. I hope this works for you. --- frmsrcurl: http://msgroups.net/microsoft.public.office.misc/MS-Office-12-Event-ID-5000

I have also read posts about the weather in their windy city. This is so stupid. I think the poster has many mental issues and needs to seek psychiatric help right away. If they can't get help on their own, they should ask someone to help them seek out the help so they can get better. What a weird world.

there are some mentally ill people who post a daily countdown of the next release of Ubuntu. Most people here do not care about the next release of Ubuntu and certainly do not care about an Alpha product. Most do not install Alpha products on their PC's unless they have a test machine. How stupid. Very very stupid people posting the countdowns. Too bad.

I have been reading some of the idiotic posts and there are some posts with the sentences running together. it seems like the people who run sentences together are disturbed mentally. I think they should seek psychiatric help right away and stop the posting. There must be something better to do with your time. Get anger management classes to start with.

I set up a Word mail merge file and want to backup a copy from my desktop to my networked laptop when I synchronize files, but I cannot even copy this file by hand. It is Office 2007. I am denied access to this file in a shared directory. It says I need permission from the computer administrator to make changes to this file. How do I get this file to copy or gain access from a remote computer?

Office 2007 is successfully being installed using the slip-streamed method but I have noticed that some office updates are not successfully installing due to "expected version not found". Troubleshooting further I notice that Windows Update still shows SP2 as needing to be applied. Once applied the have resolved some issues. I confirm that the Office install is indeed installing with SP2, so what is the difference?

Found it! just had some time to re-appraise this and have now found the solution. Import the following into the registry on logon: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Proofing Tools\1.0\Override\en-US] "dll"="c:\\temp\\dud.dll" "lex"="c:\\temp\\dud.lex" Assuming that you are using bespoke exam accounts that's all that you need to do. -- Senior Network Technician Alton College "Tony Sharps" wrote: > It's exams time of year and as such I need to be able to present a Word 2007 > environment without a spell checker. Programs on my computer (Vista SP2) frequently get into a funny mode where single quote comes out as an accented e, a double quote comes out as an accented E, a backslash comes out as an accented a and certain other characters come out funny too. It will happen in IE, Firefox, Chrome, gvim editor and possibly other programs. Usually if I shut down that particular program and start it again then it goes away but then may start again after a while, possibly after I have done a cut and paste. If its happening in Chrome, for example, and I need to enter a question mark, say, then I will start up a new gvim session enter the question mark …

When you purchase Windows 7 from Microsoft Store, you have the option to download an ISO file or compressed files. The Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool allows you to create a copy of your Windows 7 ISO file on a USB flash drive or a DVD. To create a bootable DVD or USB flash drive, download the ISO file and then run the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool. Once this is done, you can install Windows 7 directly from the USB flash drive or DVD. The ISO file contains all the Windows 7 installation files combined into a single uncompressed file. When you download the ISO file, you need to copy it to some medium in order to install Windows 7. This tool allows you to crea…
