I just upgraded to Office 2010 from 2007. My OneNote was syncing just fine with 2007, but it does not sync with 2010. Will it sync? What needs to be done? If not, then what steps are needed to downgrade OneNote 2010 back to 2007

My WMP use to play avi files with srt files, and now it won't since I upgraded to Vista. I presume this is because I had to install a Vista codec pack. However, all is not lost, as Media Player Classic will play them. IIRC I did have to reinstall MPC after I upgraded. I have been absent from this newsgroup for a while, and so I don't know if this has been discussed before. Any helpful info would be greatly appreciated. -- David Barnett

Hi, I'm trying to run WinCEPB60-091231-Product-Update-Rollup-Armv4I.MSI to generate CE 6.0 image for or my arm target board. Tried to run as 'Admin' (logged into admin account) in vista. The install after starting fails saying something like (a script required by the install failed). I have installed CE 6.0 R3 and then trying this as per requirements. Please help. My OEM referred to 3 msi files in their document. (WinCEPB60-061231-Product-Update-Rollup-Armv4I.msi WinCEPB60-071231-Product-Update-Rollup-Armv4I.msi WinCEPB60-081231-Product-Update-Rollup-Armv4I.msi). I think they have been packed in to the one mentioned above. fyi

I,too, had the exact same problem where I could not backup my files thru windows backup and restore. I have an external hard drive that will back up my data. If you don't have one, I suggest you buy one. Without using the backup and restore feature, you can backup data this way: Reboot your pc. As soon as you see your pc begin to bootup, begin tapping F10 to access Recovery. I have a Sony Vaio. As soon as I saw the Vaio Logo, I began the tapping of F10. Once in Recovery, if "EDIT BOOT OPTION APPEARS", click ENTER. In the recovery center, select "RESCUE DATA". "SELECT NORMAL RESCUE DATA". Once the Rescue data window is opened, connect your ext…

Hi. On a number of identical computers, I've attempted to create a dual boot system, where I've used an acronis backup of vista on a separate partition in order to use it in combination with a windows 7 upgrade over the original vista version, to create a dual boot system (using easybcd 2 and easeus partition master). So for instance, the disk is 300 gb, I've divided it into 3 partitions, 100 gb each (shrinking the original vista partition) and ensuring that the partition where I intend to restore vista later on is slightly larger than the original C partition, where the vista version will be modified with the windows 7 upgrade. …

I'm using Vista Home Premium. The calendar used to work---that is, it used to remind me about appointments. It no longer does. It will only remind me when the calendar is open. File/Options has "Reminders should show when Windows Calendar not running" checked. Windows Calendar is in the Startup menu. I understand this is a very popular problem but I can't find answers---only people complaining about it no longer working. Can someone direct me to the right source to get this issued resolved? Thank you. Connie
