When Microsoft delivered the final Silverlight 4 bits in mid-April, a few complementary components weren't done yet. But this week, the company is making available for download some of those missing pieces. Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) RIA Services for Silverlight is one of those, but it is downloadable as of May 17. More...

I have been running Windows 7 64 bit enterprise on my Dell Optiplex 755 for two months now and it has been rock solid stable. However earlier this week I came in the office and attempted log in and the system was frozen. I have discovered that if I boot the system without the network card plugged in - it works just fine. I can log in and work normally (without network connectivity). But as soon as I plug the network card in the system freezes. I have installed two additional network cards (one intel and one realtek) but had the same results. As soon as I plug the network cable in either card the system freezes. I did not find anything in the event…

Hi, I'm having an issue sharing files between my three machines (there are actually none windows machines as well using SMB share). They all work with each other except "Windows 7" is misbehaving. Everyone is prompted for a password to browse the 7 machine, and 7 is asked for password when it tries to look at any other device. This is obviously a "password encryption" thing that I have run into before, but now I cannot seem to find a solution. I have the following changes to Windows 7: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa LmCompatibilityLevel=1 Which I think is all I had to do with Vista and XP to get them to c…

HI. We have an Access applictaion developed to be displayed on a 1024x768 scrreen size, This was done so forms could be viewed in a partcular manner. However, if one opens the application and your monitor resolution is much larger - say 1280x768 it opens in full size, but with a lot of grey background space- Is there a setting where I could open Access to default to a specific size - (1024x768) - thus forcing the app to look a bit more normal - maybe even like a floting window? Thanx -- !ngeniuos (99% Perspiration)

Using Office Professional Plus 2010 and CRM 4.0 (32bit) When trying to send an email, on behalve of a distribution list, and tracking the email with CRM, I get the message: Invalid Argument We had this issue within the company with office 2007, but the problem seemed to be when selecting the from email address from the "auto memory" The solution was to click "From" and select it from the list. This does not seem to solve the problem with office 2010. is there a different work around or a solution to this?

I've just bought a portable hard drive and i comes up with the error "please insert a disk into removable drive". I've tried changing the drive name from 'F:' to other letters and nothing works. I've tried uninstalling via device manager and reinstalling. I've tried searching for driver updates. None of these works. Can anyone please help? Thanks.

  20. Hi, this may be a bit of an intro post in the wrong forum, but since I experienced some issues posting, well here goes. The RTE editor wont catch my cursor, had to disable it. Firefox 3.6.3. The load time was over 30 seconds per page, but strangely enough it accelerated to "normal" after disabling the RTE. (Check my GEO-IP for ref.) I love the forum colours and layout! :woot: Having a wide experience from Forum Management and some types of Forum Software I am impressed. First its a bit confusing, but Category is all. The sidebar is simple and effective and the overall layout (except for the Ad´s of course, but that is not really a complaint) is clean, uniform…
