  5. hi at all, I have a problem with the VMs restore test. I have created a backup script in host server for my Hyper-V VMs: in this script a VSS backup via diskshadow is created, then VSS is exposed and copied on another location (NAS): DELETE SHADOWS ALL # Startup settings SET CONTEXT PERSISTENT SET METADATA c:\BACKUP\Backup.cab SET VERBOSE ON # Starting Backup BEGIN BACKUP ADD VOLUME C:\ ALIAS SystemVolumeC # CREATE # mount VSS backup EXPOSE %SystemVolumeC% X: # run cmd and copy vhd on NAS EXEC C:\BACKUP\copy_VMS_on_NAS.cmd UNEXPOSE X: # end backup END BACKUP All 2 Vms are windows server 2008 R2, host too. one is the PDC and one is Exchange 2007…

Since Allison is still in NY thru Sunday, it's best if I goto Island on Friday (rather than today Thursday). To combine several things in 1 day. FYI: A simple noise-remover for Brain Waves is a Lowpass Filter at approx. 30Hz, b/c brainwaves end at approx 13-15Hz, maximum 20Hz, so a filter at 30Hz will cut much noise. Such filter doesn't need to be hardware - software implementation is basic, and you probably even use it without knowing it - it's included with most Soundcards & Audio software on most multimedia computers. There's a lowpass filter there for subwoofers. Brainwaves are akin to infrasound, in terms of Frequenc…

Some authors (for example, of forms to be filled out) "lock" their documents under Windows. This is incredibly annoying, as it prevents you from fixing errors or adding anything (e.g., addenda) to the document. If you web-search on "unlock word password" you get a bunch of pages with word password recovery utilities,i have tried most of me,if you need suggestion of them.then let me know.good luck! -- hannah2010 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ hannah2010's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/222330.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/ms-office-support/894654.htm http:…

HP ZR22W and in general HP - just love it. This is a new model and it's IPS panel (made by LG for HP, though)., widescreen or vertical (rotates) and under $300. I know Windows Newsgroup is not a perfect place to post this "opinion", but I just feels it needs ot be shared: I spend long hours in front of various monitors due to design work & ALL KINDS of work (for which 2 entrepreneurs didn't even pay for because I was naive to work on enthusiasm alone) Anyway, so the monitor choice is more cirtical to me than ANYTHING else. Nobody wants cancer or vision problems. ZR22W is simply a hit, under $300 for IPS panel in year 2010?…

Google extended moronic new interface sporting left-side "helpful" column & etc. visual distractions, EVEN to Classic Google - which I previously suggested to all as a soltuion. So my last solution (reverting to Classic at http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=all ) no longer works, but here's a new solution which still works! Use these Modified versions of Google (anyone works): http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=xx-elmer http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=xx-klingon http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=xx-bork Plus, also may still work simply clicking on "Preferences" (while at Google.com) --> Interface Language --> choose "PI…

How can I tell what has grabbed a com port. I try to connect to COM1 but am told it is in use, but I haven't intentionally connected any thing to it. My boot.ini has the /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn options so nothing should be causing a problem at boot. This is a remote machine and I do have a COM1 serial connection that could be trying to send data at boot, but the /fastdetect should prevent that from being seen. Any help appreciated. -- Marco UCO Lick Observatory Laboratory for Adaptive Optics

What is Happening? This message is to inform you that Microsoft will soon begin discontinuing newsgroups and transitioning users to Microsoft forums. Why? As you may know, newsgroups have existed for many years now however, the traffic in the Microsoft newsgroups has been steadily decreasing for the past several years while customers and participants are increasingly finding solutions in the forums on Microsoft properties and third party sites. This move will unify the customer experience, centralize content, make it easier for active contributors to retain their influence, mitigate redundancies and make the content easier to find by cus…

In previous posts, we described why IE9 will support H.264-encoded HTML5 video. Microsoft and other browser providers see hardware support, customer and partner readiness, and intellectual property rights as key factors making H.264 an excellent choice for video encoding and playback. These posts generated a significant amount of support and suggestions. This feedback together with today’s industry announcements create a good opportunity to follow up and provide more information about HTML5 video support in IE9. In its HTML5 support, IE9 will support playback of H.264 video as well as VP8 video when the user has installed a VP8 codec on Windows. As we sa…

Hi all, Got a problem and it is only affecting one user out of around 450. She attempts to share her desktop with another user and it will not connect. If the user attempts to share with her, it works fine. So far troubleshooting has consisted of checking permissions, blowing away the outlook.ost file, blowing away the mapi32.dll file, making sure Terminal Services service is enabled and set to automatic. Any other ideas are welcome. If you need me to go indepth anymore please let me know. Office Communicator 2007 R2 v3.5.6907.196 Thanks ahead of time!

I just wanted to take a quick moment and say thank you to the post from John Bailey, bazkennedy and cgos. You were all helpful but these three post led me to a successful fix. I recently found myself faced with the logon problem, basically saying The User Profile / service failed the logon / user profile can not be loaded. I was dead in the water because it was the admin account. I had other accounts on the computer so after logging in on a second account. I went into the search bar just above the vista symbol at bottom left and entered cmd, which showed in the search window the cmd.exe command. I right clicked over the cmd.exe and clicked run…

  24. I'm trying to add 'altSecurityIdentities: Kerberos:@REALM' to user accounts. I did this on AD using Windows 2003 R2 and it worked fine, until I did a round robin replacement of both AD servers to Windows 2008 R2. I have 2 AD servers. Automated scripts create AD accounts from an upstream source. Users are added using dsadd user .... after which I add 'altSecurityIdentities: Kerberos:@REALM' for cross-realm authentication. from ldifde.exe ldifde -i -z -v -f ac.txt This always fails with these messages when run from command line: Connecting to "ad01.addomain.example.com"^M Logging in as current user using SSPI^M Importing directory from file "ac.txt"^M Loading …

Hello! I have a OMAP-35xx board ported with WinCE-6.0 which uses a TL16c754 quad uart chip This chip has 4 interruptlines going to a CPLD, where they are OR'ed, and connected to the CPU. So, in other words i need to share GPIO irq. This system used to run Windows CE .net. The ISR is actually just GIISR.DLL, which was called for each uart like this:- KernelLibIoControl(pHWHead->hIsrHandler, IOCTL_GIISR_INFO, &Info, sizeof(Info), NULL, 0, NULL) where the GIISR_INFO struct is: Info.SysIntr = pSerialHead->pHWObj->dwIntID Info.CheckPort = TRUE Info.PortIsIO = FALSE Info.UseMaskReg = FALSE …
