What is Happening? This message is to inform you that Microsoft will soon begin discontinuing newsgroups and transitioning users to Microsoft forums. Why? As you may know, newsgroups have existed for many years now however, the traffic in the Microsoft newsgroups has been steadily decreasing for the past several years while customers and participants are increasingly finding solutions in the forums on Microsoft properties and third party sites. This move will unify the customer experience, centralize content, make it easier for active contributors to retain their influence, mitigate redundancies and make the content easier to find by cus…

I have a PC with 6 hard drives, used for video editing. Each time I buy a larger drive on sale, I want to take out a smaller drive from my PC. Is there a tool that can list all hard drives, and for each drive, indicate: IDE or SATA capacity partitions and drive letters assigned rotational speed (e.g. 5400 rpm or 7200 rpm) brand and model (so I can easily identify the drive when I open the PC to remove it) The above info would allow me to quickly pick the drive to be replaced.

Best way to format your disk is to enter a bootable Windows xp disk and enter recovery console ( or other OS will do just fine if they have that ) and try format from there or from the setup . To backup ur data you could use a free software like 'Dmailer Backup ? Portable Mac & free PC Backup Software ?Secure file protection' (http://www.dmailer.com/dmailer-backup.html) . The 2nd try you can go to any of your friends and try from there . -- JohnnyBoyClub

  9. Hey Guys, Have had a good look through the outlook 2010 options but can't find anywhere the option you had in previous outlook versions to set always reply using HTML format email as your default reply type. You can open the email and go to the "Format Text" tab and Select "HTML" but I was looking for a permenant way of setting HTML. Thanks for any help you can give, Thomas View this thread

Now the new iPad is really a much better device to enjoy videos and movies than any previous version of the iPod and iPhone, this should due to its bigger screen and landscape orientation. But many folks encountered lots of problems, the most outstanding issue is the formats can't supported by 'iPad' (http://www.ifunia.com/ipad-column/index.html). Fortunately, a number of free popup blockers are available online, which are very effective in blocking annoying popups. Google, Firefox, STOPzilla, PopOops, and Windows Shades are among the most widely used free popup blockers. Post Originated from http://www.VistaForums.com Vista Support Forums

Yes I found the solution. This took quite some hunting. Tried Windows 7 media sharing, but does horrible job transcoding to what LinkTheater says it can support (I'm using this on an old SD TV in the bedroom). Tried two different networked media servers. Best one of these was wizdxp, but gui on LinkTheater box was bad. Finally found that "myiHome" program _IS_ the offspring of the old LinkTheater program I had running on my old XP system serving the media files to the Buffalo LinkTheater box for years. Same look on application screen. Same Preferences dialog. Same video Watch folders. This also came with 64-bit version that runs on Windo…
