Hello All I'm hoping someone can help with this folder settings problem. When I click "Underline icons only when I point to them" in Tools/folder options and then hit Apply or OK, Windows won't change the setting. The folder icons and names remain underlined. If I reopen Tools/folder options, sure enough it's set back to "Underline icon tiles consistent with my browser." I've done this repeatedly. I've also tried switching first to Windows Classic folders, with the same result. Any idea why it won't change? Incidentally, I can change to "Double click to open item." Thanks for any suggestions. Ive Found a cure for this problem!! I found that by following a COMBINATION of : 1. removing the outcmd.dat as explained in this thread. 2. removing my kaspersky spam checking add-ons from outlook options 3. removing xobni software from outlook and my pc. By doing this, i found that the problem id had with outlook 2007 crashing upon startup has been resolved. Good luck with yours - hope this works for you. Well I hope this isn't a stupid question. For some reason I feel silly. When I would click on link from e-mail generally--which normally opens full screen window, it won't do it now. I must have hit something by accident to screw it up. What do I do to (in tools???) to get link to open to full screen/new window???? Its minimized now for some reason....opposed to maxinized. Well, at least I got it off my chest. Thank you. -- vistadude ------------------------------------------------------------------------ vistadude's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/144367.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista…

Hi everyone, Had the same problem as you Norman, in my case the file was called Dc60. Tried everything John John said but wasn't working in safe mode for me as well, even with the cacls syntax. But then I tried it in regular windows mode and completely suprised it worked and deleted the Dc60 file, and the recycle bin icon changed to empty! So just start windows in normal mode, open the command prompt: Type cacls c:\recycler /t /e /g Administrators:f Type rd /s /q/ c:\recycler Then nothing really happens in the command prompt, you don't get any confirmation message, only thing is that the acces denied message is gone. …

Cannot download and save .zdl files (Avery DesignPro brochure) from our web site using IE8 Version: 8.0.6001.18702. The file is correctly located in the directory and the link is correctly pointing to the file. This used to work before IE8 was installed as my browser. Your problem is the Skype add-on (Mastermind) to Internet Explorer. Go to "Tools" on IE and then to "Manage Add-Ons". Click on "Enable/Disable Add-Ons". Disable Skype Add-On (Mastermind) and your problem is solved. If not, disable other add-ons till your problem is solved. You will soon have the sollution to your problem. Best of luck.
