I have the same issue with the MS Installer service. I also have the ENUM key. However, Everytime I delete the key it comes back? It is probably a basic CA question for a simple single Domain environment. Currently I have an Enterprise Certification Autority installed on one of the Domain controllers. The Controller is a Windows 2000 Server that we would like to upgrade. I use a self-signed certificate for OWA and for IAS authentication for my wireless clients. I cannot easily upgrade the domain without migrating the Certification authority or removing it completely from the domain controller. After doing the DDE fix (removing the /e and replacing it with "%1" and unchecking the Use DDE box) and then undoing it (deleting the "%1" and adding back the /e, rechecking Use DDE and putting [open("%1")] back in the DDE Message: field) the %1 will keep coming back at the end of the command line (in the Application used to perform action: field), and you get lots of error messages when opening Excel files afterward.
