I tried many things to fix this error (logon user interface-DLL MSGina failed to load) including checking on the internet for many hours. Nothing worked. (The computer would keep rebooting via the safe mode F8 interface)I decided then that the time had come for a reformat. I loaded a correct version of the operating system (XP Professional) and when asked, decided to do a repair by pressing R and give it a try as there was nothing to be lost. Bingo, after around 30 minutes of loading, the system came back as good as it had been previously. Simple it was with no data loss. Hope someone out there has the same luck as I did using this method. …

Hi, Mr. Doe. Glad you got it fixed, and thanks for the feedback. But I want to point out that Jetta was asking you about the mouse DRIVER, not about the hardware itself. Are you using the best driver for your mouse? You might want to visit http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=MK RC -- R. C. With the recent release of the latest IE9 platform preview, we talked about how we?re rebuilding the browser to use the power of your whole PC to browse the web, and to unlock a new class of HTML5 applications. One area that developers are especially excited about is the potential of HTML5 canvas. Like all of the graphics in IE9, canvas is hardware accelerated through Windows and the GPU. In this blog post we discuss some of the details behind canvas and the kinds of things developers can build. Canvas enables everything from basic shapes to fully interactive graphics Canvas is a way to program graphics on the web. The [/url] tag is an immediate mode 2d draw…

I agree with this. IE is a liability for making JS based video games. "SphericalCow" wrote: > > I forgot to mention that the profiled results are essentially a tree. What is Happening? This message is to inform you that Microsoft will soon begin discontinuing newsgroups and transitioning users to Microsoft forums. Why? As you may know, newsgroups have existed for many years now however, the traffic in the Microsoft newsgroups has been steadily decreasing for the past several years while customers and participants are increasingly finding solutions in the forums on Microsoft properties and third party sites. This move will unify the customer experience, centralize content, make it easier for active contributors to retain their influence, mitigate redundancies and make the content easier to find by cus…

Another annoying, worse-than-useless error message from Microcrap! The problem is not with your computer or USB port, or with any externals you may have connected, but with Microcrap's error message. Here's how to shut it off for good: Run >> devmgmt.msc >> [expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers] >> Right-click Standard Enhanced PCI, select "Properties" >> Select "Advanced" tab >> Check "Don't tell me about USB errors" Then repeat this procedure with the other controller: Standard Open HCD. -- rickack ------------------------------------------------------------------------ rickack's Prof…

I agree too! but, telling Microsoft didn't solve anything it's still happening now in July 2010....YEARS later! So much for followup... Windows 7 is better than Vista but still not as good or reliable as XP! Now we are going to continue pressing ever forward without providing a stable product and you wonder why Microsoft is loosing the lead? GOOD LUCK! Hi, not sure this is right group to ask but I have win 7 (ultimate) running windows live mail. Today i just fired up the live mail and it hung on the opening for about a minute or so longer than usual. When I came to check newsgroups it had lost two!! I eventually re installed them via "accounts" but might there be anything that could have triggered this odd behaviour? I have had a couple of hangs in an online game just recently involving the mouse freezing and a hard reboot required so that may be a factor? tia. Stuart.
