Hello: I've created some folders in the desktop, and put inside shortcuts to programs that I use mostly. Although I always choose view --> icons, at each startup shortcuts re-appears in "details" view mode. I checked in "folder options", "Remember each folder's view settings" is checked, so what's the problem? thank you Maurice

I tried everything I could think of to get rid of two Torrentsworld.net files that were there but not there so they couldn't be deleted. (And yes, I already owned copies on another medium of the torrents I downloaded.) The two files started with "[Torrentsworld.net]" followed by the name of the torrent. They were located in a folder called "Junk" on my desktop. In Vista, I entered "cmd" in the Search Box, clicked on cmd.exe, entered "cd c:\users\myname\desktop\junk" at the prompt, hit return, at the prompt entered "del [Torrentsworld.net]*", hit return, and voila, they were gone! -- ReallyDon'tLikeVista ------------------------…

When we first introduced our plans for Internet Explorer Platform Previews we said that &ldquodevelopers and people interested in standards and web development can try out new platform functionality and provide early feedback.&rdquo We are now getting such feedback on a daily basis and are using it to improve IE9. However, sometimes the impact of the feedback extends beyond just IE9. Here is the story of how some recent feedback regarding the third IE9 Platform Preview resulted in a correction to the new ECMAScript 5th Edition (ES5) standard for JavaScript. The ES5 standard became official in December 2009 and the third IE9 Platform Preview is the first wid…
