Hello everybody ! Since many days I am trieing to run a self-written server-application on my server. But any attempt to get a connection from client to server fails. (The same with WCF). I have heard, that there are many things to set up in the IIS to allow access to by TCP-IP from outer-machine. Busy port should be no matter, course I had tried many different. Can anyone give me a hint or link to solve these written problems ? Thank you very much matthias PS. I am sorry for my bad English.

Hello, I have a Dell T310 server that came with Windows 2008 R2 - 64 bit OS loaded. The primary application that is to be run on this machine is not currently supported under 2008 R2 64 Bit. Because of this mistake I must downgrade to a 32 bit Windows Server OS. I would like to roll it back to Windows 2008 Server SP2. I currently do not have the media set from Microsoft, I have ordered it but it has not arrived yet. I was trying to use Dell's Open Manage to relaod the OS. I have been successful with downgrading to Windows 20003 (I have an OS media kit that Dell provided, they did not provide a Win 2008 Server SP2 set). I have tried repeatively to load Windows 2008…

I have written a 32 bit SNMP extension agent dll in native C++ (since you have to write it this way). This works on a Windows XP machine and a Windows 2003 server machine without any problems. I have now installed it on a machine running Windows Server 2008 i.e. 64bit. I have added my SNMP agent to the following registry location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\SNMP\Parameters\ExtensionAgents My entry under this key references another registry location which has a Pathname entry which is set to "d:\test\PP.PixelPromo.Support.SnmpAgent.dll" as a REG_EXPAND_SZ type (as opposed to a REG_SZ type). Every time that I start the SNMP servic…
