Unfortunately, this means that many people will leave their PCs running, with open applications and unsaved data, and in many cases, they'll wake up the next day to discover the PC was automatically rebooted by Windows Update. Here's how to stay secure, but prevent the computer from rebooting automatically. View the full article

Hi guys, I have a funny problem here. After i have installed windows 2008 x64 R2 Enterprise, my network adapter don't seems to be able to identify itself. I have joined the server to my domain and i have disabled all firewall rules. Total i have 4 network adapters and only 1 is connected. However, if i made any changes to other unused network adapters, i.e to say i disable and enable any of the unused network adapters, the connected network adapters will be able to identify itself under my domain. If i do a restart of the server again, the connected network adapter will not be able to identify itself again. Not sure whether is it a hardware issue or …

We purchased a dedicated windows server from GoDaddy about 3 weeks ago and we are having 1 mayor issue For some reason, it will not allow us to have Outlook and the blackberry or iPhone on at the same time (emails). If we turn on the account on the iPhone, it will automatically start asking for the password in Outlook but even if you put the password it will still not work. Any suggestions? We are using MailEnable on the server and we even paid $745 to upgrade the MailEnable to the Enterprise edition because they told us that this would allow for multiple session, but it's still not working even after this upgrade to the enterprise version. Hope you have some ideas,…

Bulletin Severity Rating:Critical - This security update resolves two privately reported vulnerabilities in Microsoft .NET Framework and Microsoft Silverlight. The vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution on a client system if a user views a specially crafted Web page using a Web browser that can run XAML Browser Applications (XBAPs) or Silverlight applications, or if an attacker succeeds in convincing a user to run a specially crafted Microsoft .NET application. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights. Bulletin Severity Rating:Important - This security update resolves two privately reported vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows. The more severe of these vulnerabilities could allow elevation of privilege due to an error in the processing of a specific input buffer. An attacker who is able to log on to the target system could exploit this vulnerability and run arbitrary code with system-level privileges. The attacker could then install programs view, change, or delete data or create new accounts with full user rights. View the full article
