Paul Thurrott's Supersite for Windows I'm a Google Picasaweb user and while I'd love for there to be some kind of deep integration between this service and the Pictures hub in Windows Phone, Microsoft hasn't enabled such a thing. So I've scoured the Windows Phone Marketplace for a decent Picasweb app. And I've found one. It's called Picasa Metro. ... Source

Bloomberg is adding fuel to the rumor fires claiming that Microsoft may show off the tablet version of Windows 8 next week at the AllThingsD conference. If and when that happens, here’s what to watch for. Steven Sinofsky, the President of Microsoft’s Windows client division, is slated to take the stage during the three-day confab, which kicks off on May 29. Ever since Sinofsky’s appearance at the show was confirmed earlier this week, there’s been talk that he’d show off an updated version of Windows 8 there. In spite of Microsoft’s vague claims about the accuracy of recent Windows 8 information that has leaked and been announced (by both Microsoft partners and Mi…

Hello, I am testing Office 2010 deployment. We currently are using Office 2000 on Windows XP computers. I have a test PC with Office 2000 installed. I am using the Office Customization Tool for Office 2010. I have set it to remove previous versions of Office. After the install of Office 2010 Office 2000 still remains. I also tried installing Office 2010 from the CD without using the OCT. It never prompts me to upgrade or remove Office 2000. Office 2010 just install and leaves Office 2000 on the computer. My question is this... Is there a way to remove Office 2000 while doing the install of 2010 or will I have to manually uninstall Office 2000 and then install Office 20…

I am using Windows 7 (64bit) with IE9 and Office professional 2007 but with One Note 2010 because it prints in a 64 bit system. All the Office programs are 32 bit installations. I have been advised to install IneNote as 64bit but your website says all office programs must be either 32 or 64bit. I have lost all ability to print to OneNote from any application (including the browser), or to Send to OneNote from any application. I purchased OneNote 2010 in June of 2010, installed it, and it has worked great until approximately April 15. The error message i get from outlook is AddIns are disabled. But none are indicated as disabled. When printing from the bro…

BetaArchive just posted a leak of Windows 8 build 7850. Early reports are this is a real Build of Windows 8 although some are claiming it's not. It looks and feels like Windows 7, but, under the hood is where the good stuff is at. If Microsoft follows the same plan they had with Vista and Windows 7 you won't see any GUI changes in Windows 8 until later when the beta starts. Right now you'll still get the Windows 7 GUI when you install this build of Windows 8. Build specific information: 6.1.7850.0.winmain_win8m1.100922-1508_x86fre_client-enterprise_en-us.iso - 2.45 GB (2,637,101,056 bytes) MD5: EA2DCFADA6BBA517A0A0649D15E1EB3D News courtesy of BetaArchive
