Apple's iTunes software has been so bad for so long that it's getting hard to justify using this unwieldy software. But what are the alternatives to Apple's superior iPhone, iPod, and iPad products? And does leaving the company's i-ecosystem even make any sense? View the full article

I have installed Windows Server 2008 and have enabled Anonymous Authentication. However when I try to load the url I am still getting a logon. I am using IE7, 6 and even older and still get the login screen. In the previous versions you had IUSR_computername, but with IIS7 things are a bit different. I thought I had addressed this issue using default IUSR by enabeling AA. I am really stumped....

We are cutting over from PS4 on W2k3 to XenApp 5 on W2k8. When we test our anon apps (exam, logon and some kiosks) they fail to properly authenticate to the 2008 server. Instead of allowing OS access it brings us to the logon screen. Our config is as follows Thin client starts and grabs a dhcp reservation file, that points it to an ftp server and share. The ftp server has one share for each anon app. \\ftpserver\ C:\Inetpub\ftproot\exam \\ftpserver\ C:\Inetpub\ftproot\logon \\ftpserver\ C:\Inetpub\ftproot\kiosk ect Each of the shares has a wnos.ini that specifies the ica connection settings, this works fine in W2k3 but the same file fails in W2k8. Hi everyone. Here is the issue: Windows standard x32 with DFS as a file server. A user has an access database on the server. Sometimes the database file gets corrupted and it locks. The server DFS stops responding and users lose access to their files. The work around is to close the file and reboot the server. I get no event logs or error except for the fact that the user cannot get to the access database. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a small VB script that I put in logon script of Windows 2008 Group policy. All the users in the domain are able to get the script - the script is basically ask the end user to fill-in some information in the GUI. Some guys are filling the information and some guys are quitting the application and getting in to their work. My question here is that - Can we put any restriction on logon script so that user must enter the information and then only he/she can move forward to work. Thank you
