By Paul Thurrott Beyond the big ticket items mentioned in the previous part of this review, Windows Phone 7.5 includes several hundred other smaller new features and updates. I can’t list them all here, of course, but as you move from app-to-app in Windows Phone 7.5, you’ll notice many changes and niceties. Here are some of the updates I think are most interesting. By Paul Thurrott Windows Phone 7.5 arrives today as an upgrade for existing customers and will be rolled out with new handsets in the coming weeks and months. In this multi-part review, I’ll examine Microsoft’s latest mobile OS, which I still feel is superior to the iPhone and Android competition. This is a smartphone that puts people first, and doesn’t force you to work the way it does. Source: Win Super Site

By Paul Thurrott Windows Phone 7.5 consists of hundreds of new features, spread out across the system. As such, many of these changes are relatively minor, which is to be expected. But Windows Phone 7.5 does include a number of big ticket items as well. And in this second part of my Windows Phone 7.5 review, I’d like to focus on the major new features in "Mango." By Paul Thurrott One of the new features in Windows 8 that I’m particularly intrigued by, mostly because I’ve been asking for this for years, is the ability to log on to the PC with a Windows Live ID instead of a more traditional local user account. Today, on the Building Windows 8 Blog, Microsoft group program manager Katie Frigon tackles this new feature and provides some interesting context. Source: Win Super Site

By Paul Thurrott Rafael Rivera has done more testing to determine whether Microsoft is tracking the location of Windows Phone handsets without users’ consent. And somewhat surprisingly, he has found that the claims are at least partially correct. That is, Windows Phone does transmit location data to Microsoft servers before the user gives consent for that activity. Source: Win Super Site
