I cannot open zipped folder. I always used to click open and any folder had been opened through program selected by Windows automatically, but, due to my own mistake, in an attempt to unzip the folder, I commanded to "open with" some other program. Hi, On Windows Vista Ultimate SP1, when I go to Windows Update I see a "Check For Updates" button. When I click it I get an 80070422 error and "Try Again" button which does not work. I have tried all that is explained in Help on this error, but it's still not working. Trying to reinstall win 7 on a friends toshiba L505-s5983 and it is giving me pure unadulterated ..... I get the windows logo and then a black screen then finally a set up screen asking for country info user name etc. it is extremely slow and then it loops back to the beginning again... sometimes. Been at this for a couple of weeks off and on with no success. At some point I have gotten the toshiba configuration screen but that's it. Occasionally I can get it to boot in safe mode. I am upgrading a Thinkpad X301 using a Samsung 256GB SSD. Install has been done using the W7 x64 with SP1 .iso available via Technet, followed by installation of the Lenovo published shipset and system drivers. The initial install produces a completely stable machine. After a first round of MS updates, the machine remains stable. After this round of updates the .Net framework 4 client profile is offered and will install OK. Thereafter, three security updates for the client profile are offered by MS update. I have about 15 laptops running Windows 7 Pro SP1 (brand new, just out of the box). I've been able to install quite a few updates on about 3 of them (just started working on them). However, now, I'm getting error code 80200011 when I attempt to install additional "required" updates. I've tried clearing the BITS queue, deleting softwaredistribution folder and ran SFC and nothing came up as being an issue. I've searched the net on this issue, but there doesn't appear to be much on this specific problem. These systems are behind a proxy server. I have other (XP, Windows 2003) systems that are able to update, but is there an issue between WIn 7 and some proxy servers? …

I had been using Office 2010 Beta for several months and did not have a problem with the out of office assistant until I upgraded to the official version of Office 2010 last week. Now when I try to access Automatic Replies, it says the server is currently unavailable. Can anyone help. I don't think this is an Exchange issue since it just started happening after I installed the official version. I'm using Vista, office 2010 and my email is hosted with GoDaddy Exchange servers. hi How can I disable the 'first run' prompt, where outlook asks to enter username etc. I already preconfigure this via MAPI, so I really don't need it.. I found a first run reg key in hkcu\software\microsoft\office\14.0\outlook\setup first-run .. this contains what looks like options, but I don't know how to interpret the numbers... It is more a bug report that just appeared on a clean install of windows. The problem appears when opening a file (tried different files 2003, 2007, 2010 with or w/o images and the same). If I open in read-only mode from Outlook the problem does not appear. I was able to determine the following error when I accepted to debug word.exe with Visual Studio.
