I am trying to build an "autounattend.xml" file that silently deletes all previous volumes, no matter if windows or linux partitions are found, no matter if basic or dynamic disks have been built before. From the sample below I experience that "foreign" volumes are not destroyed nor any dynamic disks. Is there any way to reliably and automatically achieve this goal? The "true" switch does not seem to work sufficiently. Thorsten ** Sample code from autounattendx.xml for WinPE phase ** 1 100 Primary 2 60000 Primary true NTFS bitlocker 1 1 false NTFS win7 2 2 0 true OnError Continue reading...

Please does anyone know the answer ?. I am running MSE on XP. Have everything set up firewalled automatic updates everything set at fairly high security levels, and update and scan with MSE usually twice daily. When I am not using the computer I disconnect the network and re-connect when next needed as a security measure. Sometimes when I return to the computer the network cannot be found and the only way to restore the network connection is to re-boot. I then find that it is almost impossible to re-boot as it powers down within 5 seconds of pressing power button. I've tried holding the power on button for several seconds but to no avail I just keep on pressing it some…

I got a new Acer Aspire One netbook. It shipped with 2GB of RAM. Many reviewers suggested upgrading the RAM to 4GB. I have done this previously with several laptops. The memory arrived and I swapped the sticks easily. The laptop recognizes all 4GBs of the new memory. But now, IE9 will only work in administrator mode. I put the original memory back in the laptop to check for a bad stick. IE9 had worked on the shipped stick. But IE9 would not start working again. Again, administrator mode only. Acer says it's a software problem. Crucial memory thinks likewise, though they were willing to replace the memory. I think that somehow, swapping the memory triggered a …
