I switched emachine.us.msn.com to msn.com as my home page now I can't access my printer and trying to reinstall it . tells me I have no administrator rights .It happens on all our accounts on the computer. I have an emachine with window 7. If I try to go to the old homepage(emachine.us.msn) explorer states there is no such site. I've just installed microsoft security essentials before removing kaspersky internet security 7.0 (i had just disabled it's protection, it's autostart and exited the application). during installation, i received an error message that said, it could not be completed. i went online and followed the advice of microsoft, where it said something about change the way windows started using msconfig. so i did. the installation went well afterwards, only that my wifi and other programs failed to boot because i had followed microsofts advice and removed them from msconfig. also, security essentials was not starting and the security center had been turned off. i tried re-enabling …

I successfully sysprep and imagex windows 7, everything works out good including copy profile and customized applications, EXCEPT, that all settings about Start Menu, Power Option, Screen Saver, Desktop Wallpaper, and Tastbar...are LOST! Trying to use a new updated version of udk that requires frame 4. I get a fatal error every time I try to install. I already tried several strategies. Uninstalling all frameworks, using the clean up kit, doing a fresh install. Short of a reformat I've done everything I could find on it. Not the least of which: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976982 Though, 1 point of confusion is that "Note The cleanup tool does not let you remove the .NET Framework 2.0 in Windows Vista or later versions because the .NET Framework is installed as an operating system component." The Device Manager has "IOMEGA ZIP 250 USB Device" listed. When I put in a zip drive, it lights up and has power, but as I attempt to use the Zip drive, XP want me to put a drive into the Zip 250. Of course, there is already a drive in the Zip 250 external USB drive. I have tried more than one Zip drive and nothing happens. When I open "My Conputer" there is no drive listed or named "IOMEGA ZIP" but there are 2 drives listed as "Removable Disk (F) and Removable Disk (J), that I suspect one is the"Iomega Zip" drive. My home desktop computer is a duel system, both 32-bit, Vista (Home Premium) and Win 7 (Ultimate). My work laptop is Win 7 (Pro). I am able to get to the login screen to my company's email from Vista and the Laptop (Win 7 Pro). I am unable to get to the login screen from my home pc when logged in to Win 7 (Ultimate) - fyi, I just installed Win 7 Upgrade. Used to be XP Pro. I am trying to run a repair installation of XP on a 5 year old Dell machine. The disk used for install was a Delll reinstallation XP pro, service pack 3. The original system was a media center version. It is back up and running, but just barely. No sound, can't see one of my RAID 1 drives, and Windows can't run updates. When I try to download the new version of update software from the website, I get error #0x80070020. I have run through several options of booting in different safe mode, to no avail. My computer is running slow and freezes sometimes after I installed MSE. I had a antivirus installed before I installed MSE, that caused problems so I removed the first antivirus (still have MSE). How can I make it run faster? My computer seemed pretty slow to me so I decided to do a few things to help it run faster. I updated windows and my original antivirus software, freed up disk space, tried defraging but that took a long time so i canceled it. Then I installed MSE and my computer started to run slower and would freeze up, I found out that your not supposed to have two antivirus programs at once so I uninstalled the original antivirus and kept MSE.
