Win Media Player does not detect blank discs inserted in optical drives ergo, it won't burn CD's from burn list. I have verified drivers and Drives D and E are working correctly. Short explanation: I use the machine for high end gaming and wish to isolate resource hogging "crapware" away from the installation used to run games. A relative gave me their "old" touchy mp3 device for christmas. I try to keep the system relatively clean of resource hogging software and consider software manager for said device as definately crossing the line. Will a second copy of windows 7 on a separate partition of the same hard disk trigger activiation or otherwise violate the EULA? Microsoft security essentials continues to alert me that it has detected the VirTool: VBInject.CX. Even after it removes the threat, the threat immediately showes back up - noted as suspended. I've had several clients become infected with another Fake AV within the last several days. Each infection rendered MSE inoperative the service was stopped and could not be restarted while the infection was active. Can you copy win 7 profile from one domain login to another domain login on same machine? I am moving from 2003 to 2008 R2 by creating a new domain and need to migrate the user profiles for the existing domain to the new domain profile. I am not looking to copy to default unless everything will go under default and new login carries all across when initiated. Primarily looking to minimize reinitating connections to vendor sites as customer is a distributor. Each user has own specific setup on local Win 7 Business. Scanning image records using IE9 up to date. After about 100 images, IE freeze, the running picto is showing activity in process, but no access to the net...it turns for ever. I am trying to get the WAIK to work with Windows 7 Enterprise install.wim in order to create the catalog file. I have copied the windows image and the catalog file to my workstation windows 7 install into a spare drive. When I open up AIK it tells me that it cannot use the catalog file that was present (which I copied off of the DVD) and that it must create a new one. The reason it gives has something to do with the version being incorrect in the catalog file. The problem arises when I allow the AIK to generate a new catalog file.
