I dont know what to do about it, my pc came with windows vista installed and it has service pack 2 thats about all I know. I need someone to help me resolve this issue! Thank you, Belinda Continue reading...

Whether I'm online or not, Microsoft Security Essentials (Sweet Program btw) is constantly warning me that the computer needs to be scanned even though maybe only five or ten minutes have passed by! This problem started immediately after Windows 7 update earlier this month of Dec and is now growing somewhAT DISturbing! I've checked the settings, but. . . . Can't I have it do the scans on its own, or am I damned? Sincerely need help. Continue reading...

I have received a very official looking e-mail saying my hotmail.com account would be closed in 3 days if I didn't provide them with detailed information about my account, i.e. password. I fell for this the first time. It took me 4 weeks before I could get back into my hotmail.com account. During that time, all my e-mail was Forward. All my contacts received a notice to send $3,000. to Malayia. How embarressing! Now, someone is at work with a different e-mail address. MSN should block that very official looking E-Mail or warn every account about this hacking operation Continue reading...

While trying to install Office 2010 Pro I receive the following error immediately after running setup.exe "OSETUP.DLL digital signature does not validate or is not present". I have done several internet searches and see this problem has been around since Office 2007. Apparently tons of people have this problem, but very few resolutions all of which do not work for me. I have tried the following: Re-downloaded from Microsoft (even tried the x64 version) Burned several discs Tried in 5 different Computers comprising of Vista, XP, and W7 Copied files to network and to local PC Ran from command prompt Ran as local admin Created a clean unpatched W7 install - failed…

IE9 with Win7 is slow in opening up many websites. To the point that sometimes when it says that it is done opening, the screen remains blank. So I close it and reopen and it will usually then access the website on the next try. What I just described happens a lot and I can't yet find any pattern with particular websites. Also, my emails in Yahoo will open slowly at times...and any email with an attachement (even 1K attachments) opens very slowly...8 - 12 seconds is common for these with even small attachments. Before I did most of the steps I noted below...I installed Google Chrome to compare speeds. It is soooo much faster BUT I like IE9 functionality better. So…

Hi Currently, I have Acronis TIH 2011, Update 3, Build 6942, and I have ordered a new PC, with Windows 7(64 bit), two Solid State Drives (SSD's - both 120 GB Corsair Force 3) and a 1TB conventional hard drive! The first SSD will be dedicated to my Operating System (OS), and I plan to use the second SSD, primarily, for backing up my operating system, using Acronis TIH! The conventional hard drive will be used for my personal data! I am experienced at using Acronis TIH, with conventional hard drives, but have no idea regarding any special requirements for backing up, or restoring from one SSD, to another SSD. I am aware that Partition, Sector & Cluster alig…
