My laptop accidentally turned off while i was trying to recover the system. Then the problem of "bootmgr is missing" started to happen. I tried to start a repair with my recovery disk but the system was not able to locate a operating system. I also tried Sytem restore, system image recovery, and recovery manager, but none of them was able to locate any restoration point or system image. I have HP, windows 7 What should I do?!!?!? Two Issues: (1).: I have two toolbars enabled. One is Roboform and the other is Cannon. They work fine. However if i "lock" the toolbars in the position i want them, (side by side), it defaults them to stacked. I therefore leave the toolbars unlocked so they are set up side by side and every once in a while they will be reset to stacked. (2).: Furthermore with the Roboform toolbar if i pin websites to my taskbar, the Roboform toolbar is not available when opening a pinned webpage. I contacted Roboform and they replied that it's a IE9 issue because when pinned a website is forced into private browsing. If my Roboform toolbar is not on the webpages i pin, there is no poin…

My pc has been trying to install these 2 patches since last week to no avail. I had .NET 3.5 installed and working (I think) but both patches simply come back unable to install with no apparent error codes. I have visited this page http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/923100 regarding issues installing .NET updates and tried both methods listed and have wiped everything reinstalling as far as I can 3 times! My PC is running XP Home Edition SP3 with Norton AV and Zone Alarm Pro. I can get to .NET 2.0SP1 but cannot install 3.0 or 3.5 as both fail. My pc was also recently infected with this virus.My Microsoft security essentials did not catch it.I did run a scan with MSE and it did remove some things but not the virus. I could not get onto my home page,mail etc. I did find some registration codes on line and entered one on the appropriate screen and was able to stop the pop ups and get back on the internet however,the virus has not been removed. Is there any danger in not removing it since the computer seems to be working fine now.I do not understand all the technical terms to be able to remove it on my own so,would have to pay to have it done. I have the rundll.exe. It's there, and I even copied another one from another computer. Problem being, the computer cant' find it. I have a 16G Flash Drive that doesn't permit to write in it. I tried to save a folder called "Pictures" but the dialog box says "write protected". when I hit "cancel" the folder still is created with a file in it called USBCαg╫â. That file or folder can't be erased. When I eject the flash drive and insert again, The system recognizes that something is wrong and offers an option to correct the problem. After that I can use the flash drive for all except for writing in it. When I come back to the content, the folder "Pictures" no longer exist, but instead a file called "pictures" that can be erased.
