I have been having the XP security 2012 virus pop-up several times this week. Everytime I have put my computer in system restore and have ran a full scan of my computer with microsoft safety scanner and another time I did the viperesue. My computer will seem to be fine but some how the XP security 2012 virus manages to make it's way back in. My question is how can I check to make sure the virus is completely gone from my computer after I have put my computer in system restore and performed a full scan? After running Microsoft Safety Scanner, 8 items were showing as needing attention. I clicked to remove them all and upon completion, results came back as these 8 being partially removed. IE9 has a bug where it doesn't display the focus outline around a in certain cases. Using a borrowed Windows XP SP3 notebook with my own USB-connected external hard disk. Installation from mseinstall.exe does not provide for specification of installation folder -- it tries to install to C:\Program Files\ and bumps into "Insufficient disk space Error code 0x:8004FF10." I don't want to delete anything from the notebook's internal C-drive. No space problem on my external hard disk, and no problem running other applications installed on that disk. Our network doesnt have internet access. We do however have another network that does. We are about to upgrade to Windows 7 on the network that doesnt have internet access. I have collected information on one of my test PC's but since you need to Send and Recieve to get information on applications (that require an internet connection), is it not possible from an air gapped network? I'm trying to use anytime upgrade on a laptop to go from OEM Home Premium 64bit to Professional but when I enter my key it says it's invalid. The key was purchased through the Microsoft store and has a SKU of FQC-05571 with a product name of Windows 7 Professional Upgrade. I have installed Windows 7 Professional 64 bit (Windows 7 Build 7601) I downloaded from MSDN. Prior to the install I ran Disk Scrubber starting from a clean hard drive. I keep getting "Internet Explorer has encountered a Validation Error, Process iexplore.exe Module Name mshtml.dll Asset Offset 008BE823" I have also received other validation errors. I have downloaded a clean copy from MSDN and reinstalled with the same results, These validation error appear to be causing issues with trying to install Eset Virus Software which causes BSoD for System_Service_Exception. Hello, I have 3 servers that are part of a Domain that do not have the same options regarding Local Intranet Security Zones. The Local Intranet Security Zones is handled by a Domaing Group Policy so I am wondering how could this happen and how I can get them synchronized? :confused: On every other node in the domain under Internet Options->Security Tab->Local Intranet->Sites I get the dialog with the checkboxes but in these 3 servers I get a different dialog where I can only add sites to the security zone. My goal is to have the same dialog with the checkboxes. Many thanks.
