Solve this issue please type the cmd mode these command. Re-register the DLL files that are required to perform the update operation. Open Start menu, select Run, type cmd, and then press Enter to open the Command Prompt window. At the command prompt, type the following command and press Enter to register the listed DLLs. regsvr32 Softpub.dll regsvr32 Wintrust.dll regsvr32 Initpki.dll Type Exit to close the Command Prompt window and then restart the PC. Why in security centre (Windows XP) when i try and turn on the firewall does it say "you are not authorised to change these settings, please see your administrator" ? This is not a work machine it is a home machine and is not connected to any server or anything.
