The top bar on my computer of Mocrosoft Security Essential has turned Brownish from Green in color. It also indicate that : Computer Status - Potentially unprotected". What does the red x in a white box mean and how can I go about deleting things of my computer that I don't need? Like when there is updates does it leave out of date stuff on the computer? I have an old computer and I think there probably are things in programs and maybe even devices that are not needed. Hi, I use Windows 7 Professional x64. I installed Readiness tool. It was completed successfuly. CheckSUR.persist Summary: Seconds executed: 597 No errors detected When I try to install Win7 Service Pack 1 (standalone installer), I get File not found error (0x80070002 - ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND). I have followed all the links and input found on the Microsoft sites to fix my issue and I still cannot access games on Facebook with IE9. I have uninstalled and then reinstalled IE9, same thing, I did the same for Silverlight, and Java, downgraded to IE8 (which now has the same issue), even did a system restore but no change. I can get on the site, but when I click on a game, the screen goes to the log in screen and then just flashes constantly, the only way to make it stop is to close the browser window, or end my entire browsing session. Hi all. About 2007 and 2008 i had an MSDN Subscription. So i downloaded windows 7 Ultimate and a proper product key. Hello. I have a VB.NET GUI (VS2005) that calls into a VB6 DLL to query MSAccess 2003 databases using DAO 3.6. Yes, I know this is not an ideal scenario, but that's the way the current application is set up. Component Checker shows MDAC 2.8 SP1 is installed. This application usually runs for a long time on our customer's Windows XP SP3 system with no issues. Occasionally (read: after 11 minutes or 11 hours or days), we experience a hang in the application, such that it needs to be ended with task manager and restarted. I reloaded Windows XP Professional to a Dell OPTIPLEX 360 Desktop last night. This was a specially configured Desktop from Dell that was ordered with Windows XP Professional in place of Vista. The product Key shipped on the tower was however Vista. I have the Special Order description paperwork in front of me now. I used Belarc Advisor software to read the originally installed product key prior to reloading of the software. Microsoft Activation Center is trying to tell me that this is not a valid product key.
