I have a table that will not render correctly in IE 9. When in IE9 Standard Mode, and Browser Mode IE9, it fails most of the time. When in quirks, IE7, or IE8 mode, it works. Also, it renders correctly in Safar and Chrome. Another element of the problem is that it only fails when there are lots of rows (perhaps 400). One of the rows will render wider than the rest. It seems to consistently be row 310. This is very wierd. I change the data, but it is still that row, even when the data changes. Occasionally, it will work. When it does, I have compared the source using F12. It looks the same to me. Both a header table and the body table have column widths explici…

My work computer has windows xp. We sometimes run data/document merges over night for faster production the following morning. For a week or so I turned off my windows automatic update because this would cause computer to reboot & lose merge data ect. Now every program seems to be running slow. The most obvious error is a "borland database error 2301" that locks up my Mail Manager 2010 program. I don't think this 2301 "Corrupt table/index header" error is a Mail Manager issue. Am I wrong? I want to stop user's laptops entering standby mode or hibernation and I have looked at pwrconfig but this doesn't stop the laptop from entering powersaving modes when: The laptop lid is closed When the power runs low Ideally nothing should happen when the lid is closed and if the power in the battery runs low the laptop will shut down. Does anyone know how to do this for standard priviledge users when using a script? We have tried changing the settings by manually giving them admin rights and going through control panel, but after putting them back as standard users the changes are reverted. Continue reading...

Hello, Ä°'ve recently reinstalled my OS (W. XP SP3) on my laptop and my problem is this: Page resizing in Ä°E8 does NOT work.Minimizing and closing pages is no problem. Ä° have tried 'reset' and Mr Fix it',didn't solve the problem. Oddly enough resizing the page on ESET'S Online Scanner's site is no problem, however on every other site it doesn't work. Uninstalling is not an option,so i was wondering of what else i could do? Also, would installing Ä°E8 again OVER the current installation of Ä°E8,cause any problems? Any advice or info would be appreciated. Thank you. Continue reading...

Hello, i am trying to deploy a handler for a Javascript API. How it is supposed to work on Server 2003 is explained here: Open IIS Manager. Navigate to folder that contains Default.ashx (in this example this is C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\arcgis_js_api\library\2.5\arcgis). Open properties dialog (right click, properties) > this doesnt work anymore Click the Documents Tab. Ensure Enable default content page has been clicked. Click Add... Button. Enter "Default.ashx" and Add. Press OK and Exit. But in Server 2008 I cant reach the certain properties anymore.. Can someone please tell me how I can do it for 2008, please? Thanks a lot!!

Our Google web browser closed suddenly and a banner was displayed stating that my web browser was seriously out of date and needed updating. On closing this banner using the red 'x' the Google web browser closed and then a screen was displayed where a blue bar was filling as in either a download or a scan status bar. We powered off the computer and re-started. Windows explorer kept failing but after a couple of re-starts seems ok. Web browser history shows Aveonix.org as the site. Is this malware? Hi, I have a Dell Dimension 2400 desktop. I got a bad virus while ago and after I got rid of it, it seemed to me that the best would be to reformat my harddrive. I have done that before and I was pretty comfortable about it. Yet I run to a problem this time. I ran the Windows XP and I chose the install a fresh copy. Everything was fine and I even reached the end of the first process, deleted the partition, created a new one formatted the new raw partition, and everything until it restarted the system. Here, I forgot that I was supposed to let the system run by itself and mistakenly clicked on "Press any key to run from cd". It took me to the whole beginning of the setu…
