I've got an image made, Win 7 Enterprise 32bit, which we're running on vmware esx and using citrix xendesktop. When the user logs off their session, the vm restarts and boots back up to the original state. The problem I'm having is that a user plugs in a usb lexmark t642 printer and windows automatically picks which driver to use for it. There are two drivers, a lexmark universal driver and a lexmark t640 series (ms) driver. Windows picks the universal automatically, which for this printer has some quirks that the user is not happy about. Hi. It's the first time I'm facing any problem with Security Essentials (SE). I'd put my PC's SE on scan mode, 'switched user', and gone out, while another user logged in to work. Later, when I logged back in, I found that the scan was half-finished, and the SE stood automatically turned off. My efforts to turn on real-time protection have failed. Not sure what happened, but I keep getting the error: Windows could not finish configuring the system. To attempt to resume configuration, restart the computer. I tried to boot in safe mode and it gave me the same error. Any thoughts on what to try or is this a lost cause? I just leant that you can not install .net Framework 3.5 on Windows 7. I also learned that it is part of the Win 7 OS but has to be turned on from Windows features. Hello guys, there are a question. Our company have a lot of sites, and I created special xml and vbs script file with buttons to choose your location during installation. Main idea is that helpdesk when starts LTE installation just choose his site location from the list and all neccessary parameters (like DeploymentShareNICPath, antivirus server, wsus server, etc.) will formed from this vbs and xml file. Hi, We are using MSSCCM with WDS for imaging new pc's. We have this in place since maybe October of last year and now obviously we are behind with windows updates which means that the imaging of a pc is now taking much longer because we now have to update each image. We are using VMWare too so we have a "Golden" base image template which we can deploy to a virtual machine and update any new software etc... and capture it again. My question is, can we do the same with windows updates in this scenario as you have to reboot systems after windows updates and my feeling is that this will mess up sysprep??
