I have an Intel DG31PR board with onboard audio. I have updated all drivers to the current available drivers. When I originally installed windows 7, I installed the x32 version on my x64 system. To improve the speed of my computer I reinstalled windows with the x64 version. Windows installed successfully. I started installing programs and one of them required me to restart. After restarting, the windows logo showed up then my computer restarted. Upon restart, same thing happened. I tried to turn off Norton Anti-virus automatic anything, so that I would have some control however, it still runs updates and scans, etc., in the background, and it seems like when browsing with Windows on IE8 is real slow, I hear the computer working when it is otherwise quiet. Does Norton clash with Windows Security function, and if so, is there anything I can do about it? If the answer is uninstalling Norton, am I OK with just Windows Security?
