I mean if I enable in the gpo trusted sites to install with AXI that the activex controls install under users . But I have site in the trusted sites , in the trusted sites I have define download and iniciate Acticex controls , but after the user click install , the win7 return error cannot access and retry or cancel .... Any time I try to run a downloaded file (such as getting a new printer driver or trying to run a scan) I get a message which says, "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it." I am running Windows 7. I have Norton 360 running. I have scanned with it and used the Norton bootable scan to no avail. Running Windows 7 Cannot install or run any downloads. (I can down load files it appears. Also cannot unistall programs through the Control Panel. Cannot enable or disable any services in Task Manager. Cannot run the Microsoft on-line scan. Have Win7 Pro IE9 x32 and x64 worked fine until Monday, then x32 disappeared (so icon as blank.) x64 was fine. iexplorer.exe is not present in programs folder. Tues I uninstalled IE9 thru windows features - IE8 came up and both x32 and x64 were okay. Rebooted today Friday and now IE8 x32 has done the same thing as previously with IE9 x32. Hello, I have a Asus Netbook 1015PE that came with Windows 7 starter installed. The hard drive failed and could not be saved fromt the recovery partition. The user did not make a restore disk because it did not come with an optical drive. I contacted Asus and they will not send a copy of the OS for me to reinstall with my key. They want me to ship it in for repair, $$$. I do not have access to Windows 7 home Ultimate to remove the ei.cfg file and install that way. I attemtped it with my copy of Win 7 Pro from a USB drive but it did not work. It would not offer the selection for OS and went straight into Windows 7 Pro install. I was unistalling my AVG Internet Security 2011 but it couldn't finish. Then i off my notebook manually. when i try to re open it i cant. then i format and reinstall my notebook with Windows 7 Profesional 32bit. i already install all the driver but i cant use my wireless device to connect to the NET. i also try using LAN cable but it also didn't detect the LAN cable. when i try to diagnose the problem a dialog box appear says " Scripted diagnostic native host has stop working".
