I am using windows 7 ultimalte (32 bit) on Dell D620 core 2 Duo. My computer shows a red X on D and E drive icons. I had plugged in an external HDD via USB, after that a red X start appearing on the drive icons (only on D and E drive icons). I have checked it in disk manager (diskmgmt.msc) there is no red X. Hi I am trying to capture a WIM image of a reference computer for deployment of Windows 7 ultimate x64. The problem is that when i run the command in Windows PE i get the message: "e" is not recognized as an internal or external command. I restored my 32 bit vista based system to the last known good configuration to aid in removing a virus. My only problem is that while using IE9 I can not see all the bookmarked sites and folders created and stored in the starred favorites file under my username. When I open the starred favorites file some of the folders are greyed (or shaded). When I click on a greyed folder and a link contained therein a tab will open for that site in my browser window. However, I can not save any more sites to the greyed folders nor can I see them from the browser unless I organize the my IE9 favorites then I can see the files as an option of organizing. Mine is an Acer Aspire Z5761 system running on windows 7. All of a sudden I am not able to run antivirus sites including microsoft and the system takes to many other websites with out any control. This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. OK I am the admin. I just uninstalled and reinstalled MSE from the all programs list this is the message I get. But from the arrow on the taskbar that shows different apps. runing I click on the MSE icon and it allows me to open. hi all, I want to encrypt the os drive of a win xp machine ,i am using Mcafee endpoint encryption for doing this... I just wanted to know how does this effect the MBR after encrypting the drive i read that mcafee takes the control of the MBR and after encryption of the drive it creates 2 sectors in MBR 1st one for Mcafee ,2nd one for windows.... I just wanted to know how the whole process works. and if i want to decrypt the drive and remove the Mcafee from the MBR what should i do(please suggest as this is more important than encryption)...
