Hi, when I try to play DVD's it says there isnt a compatible DVD decoder installed, I have upgraded to media player 11 and I think I have the latest windows updates. Is it because I have had to install windows 5 times on the same computer due to BSoDs? This is a valid, PAID FOR copy of Windows 7 Professional x64, but it is not letting me activate. It says to buy a new product key or retype the one I have, but it's not accepting the one I have, and I'm typing it correctly. Have tried 5 times now... Is it because it thinks it is already in use on those other installations that I messed up on? If so, how do I deactivate those installations? Is there a way? Hi, I used Microsoft Security Essentials for about a year and i face this problem. I always had to do a quick scan because the Anti-Virus said "Potentially Unprotected". It always work but everyday when i turn on my computer it will show "Potentially Unprotected" Status. So yesterday i did a Full Scan which took about 3-5 hours but the problem was not resolve. I like how the Anti-Virus does not lag my Netbook running on Intel Atom Inside with 2GB Ram. So i wish someone can help me with this problem. I have an HP desktop and the hard drive decided to go to heaven. I went out and purchased a new hard drive and a full version of win 7 home premium. Last month I found a trojan proxy virus and it pretty much screwed the win 7 os. I decided to start over and installed my purchased full version of win 7 and now I get a message that I have a bogus copy and I need to purchase it again. When running the downloadable installer for SP3 I get the following error: The file c:\windows\system32\drivers\volsnap.sys is open or in use by another application. Close all other application and the click Retry. This occurs during the "Inspecting your current configuration" stage where the Details section says "Performing inventory". I had all programs closed, and checked that system restore is turned off and the volume shadow copy service is stopped and set to "manual" startup, so I don't know what else to do. I've searched for this error relating to SP3 and haven't found anything. Has anyone run into this before? Any insight about how I can resolve this issue …

Hi, I used to connect to my office system from my laptop. I have windows 7 home premium installed in my laptop. Suddenly from today the arrow keys are not properly working. Desktop is running Windows 7 and was working until the 1st of February. It was running fine then I decided to restart. Upon restart the system was running hideously slow (would take minutes for firefox to open & froze up on google. Didn't test any other sites.) so I restarted again. At this point the computer could no longer boot into windows in any fashion (none of the safe modes would manage to start). Start up repair is now started every time I boot, and tells me "Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically".
