After I have completed a full scan, there are some viruses that were "allowed": -TrojanDowloader :QT/Waick.A -Trojan:Win32/KillProc.A Both 'Severe'. Also, the latter was the second of 2 with the exact virus name, and the first of 2 WAS removed. Why is MSE allowing these severe viruses, and how can I change the action taken on individual viruses to "remove" if I do not agree the action taken by MSE? Please note, in Settings/ Default Actions, all are set to 'Remove' and 'Apply Recommended Actions', as well, there is nothing set to be excluded from these actions. Thank you. PLEASE NOTE: Do not know if Beta or not??????????? I have selected Not Beta in ord…

I noticed on a couple of Windows XP computers that you can set the Windows XP Display Effects to "Use fade effect" (where the windows will fade when you move/minimize or maximize them with the check box that turns it on and off. However, when the computer is restarted, the Fade Effect will change to a green box rather than the checkbox, and the fade effect will not be enabled. It's an easy fix to go back in after the computer is restarted to unbox/re-check that setting, however I cannot figure out what externally is changing the Fade Effect. Any ideas? Thanks guys. So I recently purchased a new graphics card (the diamond radeon hd 6870) and found that I needed a new psu to go with it, so I got a 600w corsair builder series (the card only needs a 500). After replacing the psu it ran fine for a while, until I get a little ways into a game, then I get the "display driver stopped working" error. I've changed the registry to allow it 8 seconds but that didn't help. When I crank up my fan, it fixes the issue, but it's really loud. I find this very odd, as the card doesn't even go to 60c before it crashes. So right now I'm looking into an aftermarket cooling system for my card, but I was wondering if there are any other possible fixes? …

Internet Explorer has recently slowed waaay down when I'm reading and deleting emails in Yahoo Mail. It never did this before. It freezes when i'm moving and deleting e-mails. I am getting really tired of it. I've done all the fixing things. reset all settings in IE. Deleted browser enhancements, run cleanup and ccleaner all the time. What did Microsoft do to screw it up??? I don't have this problem with Chrome, so it's definitely a MICROSOFT PROBLEM. Should I just not use it, or go back to IE8? I like to use it to keep my son's emails separate from mine, but the more aggravated I get, the more I don't want to use it anymore. Any suggestions? Continue reading...

Hi all, I could use some step by step instructions on how to create a local mandatory profile for just one user on a stand-alone PC. All pretty simple, Win 7 installation, Office 2007 and some media players, nothing more. I don't need to sysprep it, or make it available for multiple users, nothing of that. Just one PC with one mandatory profile. Is there anybody out there who can answer this simple question, cause all I found so far were instructions for making the default profile mandatory or have the profile stored on a server. Many, many thanks in advance. Continue reading...
