I am trying to remove my password on my pc but it is not allowing me to do so. I keep on getting a message saying "Windows cannot remove the password. Hello everyone, thanks in advance. I just put a OCZ Agility 3 120gb SSD into my system. I previously had 2 Caviar Blacks in Raid 0, and plan to use them for storage after I get this SSD working as a boot/game drive. After installing the SSD, I tried to do an Image restore on it and it failed, so I said f*** it and decided to do a fresh install. I unplugged my Caviar Blacks and booted from my CD-Drive with the Windows 7 Installation 64-bit in the drive. My bios recognized the OCZ and when it boots it says BOOTMNGR missing, which I imagine is normal without a OS on it. despite having microsoft security essentials and windows defender installed and running, this windows functionality checker virus has passed through and taken over my computer. I found the file but it has also taken over task manager so i have no way to syop it to delete it. There is no info on microsoft site at all on this? I have 2 laptops. The one Im using right now is a dinosaur Toshiba using WXP, version 5.1 service pack 3, 32bit. My new(er) laptop is an Asus 4mb, W7 home premium, 64 bit. I also have a kodak printer/scanner/copier and both of these pc use verizon 4G LTE Secure network wi-fi hotspot. Last may 2011 the Asus crashed. It came back however hasnt ran well since. A couple of days ago my MS Vista equipped computer stopped seeing the enternet. Found a ton of registry items turned off. Corrected enough to get the computer up again. Ever since, when I update Security Essentials, the update runs for a few seconds and abruptly goes off. I'm showing 15 copies of the same update and Essentials is asking me to update again. Folks, I'm having trouble diagnosing an office PC. The PC runs XP Pro, SP3 and both the attached printer and network printer disappear. Last time this happened (2 to 3 weeks ago) the print spooler was not running. Today it happened again and I checked the print spooler - it was started just fine. This PC is the only one running Quickbooks software and it does show up in the event log with an error I cannot document. I do believe it's related.....but just a hunch. I noticed the system32/spool folder in Windows has nothing in it under the printer folder. i tried running "SFC /SCANNOW" to verify the Windows folders. As far as I can tell, that process ran ok. I had a scheduled backup set up and noted it had failed. I tried to re-run manually. The system sat there saying backup in progress but the status bar did not move for 10 minutes and then failed. I got this error from the event viewer (event id 4104). "The backup was not successful. I wanted to make it so that all users could use Remote Desktop or Telnet from the LAN, but I can't seem to add the built-in "Users" to the "Remote Desktop Users" or the "TelnetClients" groups.
