In my office we have 2 internet connections in that 1 come from media converter to Cisco router and then switch and another 1 is comes through media converter to dlink router and then to same switch in that 1 connection uses gateway 1 and another is 2. I have an old tower with a cathode-ray VDU from 1999 with Windows 98. I want to bin all the hardware, including 3.5" hard drive, and keep all the software, including Windows 98. As there are some applications which only run on 98. I have a laptop with XP PRO SP3, what are my options? Can I clone the old hard drive then use with my laptop? We have a group of users where part of there job consists of viewing various PDF documents inside a web application. Due to the way things are set up, the PDF files will open inside IE. Since this is a big part of their job, the users don't tend to close IE completely to clear up the memory that it is using so, usually in the afternoon, it gets to a point where IE will crash with an error to the user or will just close all of the browser windows by itself. Hi, I have a windows azure web application, which makes use of heavy jquery. It crashes intermittently on IE 9. after installing i explorer9: when I CLICK on the program it just flashes the browser on screen for a split second then goes away. I've tried every fix available I even tried rolling back to i explorer8 now it does not work. I use Norton 360 and have ran many virus scans, they come out clean. Hi, i was wanting to create some space on my hard drive, i went into 'my music' and highlighted all folders and hit delete. as i hit delete i saw an I tunes folder. This i need back. I checked the I tunes library and everything is gone. I went to the recycle bin and out of about 20 folders only 3 were there. Service Pack 1 won't install for me. I've dug through a bunch of the other posts on here in regards to this issue. I use this post as one of the more helpful sources for me. Now I have Ubuntu loaded on another partition and I use GRUB to load to it. When I run BCDeditlog.txt I get this: The boot configuration data store could not be opened. The system cannot find the file specified. I did include a the zip file of the logs from CBS and a few of the other logs asked for In that other forum post there is a link to 'repair the BCD'. I haven't proceeded with that part simply because I don't know if that is something that will screw up using grub and my ubuntu part…

I am trying to create an image of a windows 7 enterprise installation. I have itanium 64 architecture. I used Windows AIK to create a Windows PE boot disk however, the iso that AIK creates is not bootable for my machine. I tried the x86 and amd64 boot disks and both of those create successful boot disks, but I am unable to capture/apply images with them because I need ia64. Can anyone tell me how to make an ia64 boot disk to get to a Windows PE command prompt so I can capture/apply imagex images? Much appreciated! Continue reading...

Hey i just did a fresh install of windows 7 , everything works perfect till the end. But when my computer restarts nothing shows up just a blank screen with cursor blinking on it :s. .. I reinstalled Windows 7 couple of times but its still the same. When i connect this hard drive to my other desktop it works totally fine there. I have been trying to install Office Professional 2010 but it will not complete the installation process because I am unable to instll the above update. Have tried a couple of the Microsoft fixit options but still no luck. Can anyone help please. I am hoping that my Media Centre PC is not causing a problem and I would not look forward to having to reinstall everything.
