XP Pro w SP3: Viewing Security Essential History Tab there are many entries dating back to last December that I want to save/print. Since there is no process for that in SE I followed several Post in this community to look for the SE Log files. Many I am not able to open however I found one (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Microsoft Antimalware\Support\MPLog-{dates} ) that shows many of the Items that I'm wanting to save/print. I also see that some process named AutoPurgerWorker is deleting the Detection items from the System logs. Why is this happening and how do I turn it off so I can retrieve these entries from the Event Veiwer - System …

Have I removed Registry Cleaner Pro?
by Guest Theo Charalambous- 0 replies
Hi, I recently installed Registry Cleaner Pro and then, realised, it was a virus (Is it?). I've uninstalled it, scanned it with IObit Security 360, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, McAfee On-Demand Scan and Microsoft Security Essentials - I really dont want a virus... Ive cleaned most (I think) of the .dll files. My computer seems a bit slower - but, that might be because I'm running three scans at once. Should I be this concerned about this? And will the above Anti-Virus programs have fixed the problem? And during the time that my Anti-Viruses were scanning, would Registry Cleaner Pro have been able to download any more malware? And finally, what does this virus do?…

IE8 and 9 cookies clearing bug?
by Guest Nadim J- 0 replies
I've been using IE since the days of 3.0 and have stuck to it over the years despite the peer pressure to try other stuff but not sure I can keep this up. Note, this is not an IE setting or a misunderstanding. I can replicate the issue on all 3 of my Windows 7 machines. First noticed this in IE8 where if the system crashed whilst IE was running then I would lose all my cookie data (and specifically my 'keep me logged in' type stuff). This would happen 4/5 times. Now in IE9 it just got a whole lot worse. Regardless of if IE is running or not, if the system crashes or there is an unexpected shutdown, the next time you launch IE all your cookies are gone! I regularly suff…

I downloaded a trial version of Office 2010 but cannot use it because I am missing a file from my Office 2003.
