Hi all, I've got a serious problem. My colleague and I are setting up a new network and there are a few computers on the network. She has configured a few user accounts on Active Directory under different groups. While I can browse the internet when logged on, say on computer A, as users in certain groups, I am not able to browse the internet when logged on as users in other groups which have less priviledges on the same computer. When I ran Wireshark, I noticed that network traffic is being redirected to a server, say Server X, on the network to port 8081 which is used by Sun Proxy Admin. I have tried repeatedly to get this update installed. I have installed it on three other machines in our office. This update will not install on my pc. I have uninstalled SQL Server Express and other advanced programs that I thought might be causing the problems. I have run the SFC command 5-8 times and run the Update Readiness tool 3-5 times. I have done clean boots, safe boots, Selective Boots. I have run the manual file as administrator, I have run the DVD, I have tried automatic updates. I have renamed and created a new update folder. MSE instructed me to download Windows Defender Offline.. So i did read about how it worked a bit. Useing the ISO file. when i boot the program all i get is an error. I used an old Windows 7 product code on my laptop after I wiped the HDD, and used a Windows 7 installation files from my programming class (I used it for the computer I just built, so yes, they are legit), and Windows keeps giving me a problem with the activation. Hi, I hope you guys can help me out. So, last night I left my laptop on sleep mode. When I got here this morning it was turned off, and when I turned it on I saw a message "returning from S4 state" or something like this. When it got to the part where Windows should start loading, the screen is black and I see no disk activity. After a while it displays a 0xc000000e error. This example is a complete web page that demonstrates a slow leak in IE9. IE9.0.5 leaks a few bytes every time that backgroundPosition is called. sIEve and Drip show a steady increase in usage of memory but no increase in DOM objects. Leave it open for 8 hours or so and the IE tab dies when IE runs out of memory. Reloading the page or going to another page recovers memory - but can be delayed by tens of minutes by what appears to be memory clean-up. We've recently implemented SharePoint 2010 and Outlook 2010. I'm looking for a method to orchestrate which contact/social network has priority in the Outlook Social Connector - particularly which photo is displayed for the contact. For example: If the contact is not listed anywhere other than the GAL it will pull the corporate contact info with their company photo. If the contact is listed in any other location, such as the local contact list or connected social network, the GAL loses priority and the users photo is now being pulled from the new location. We have virtualized Windows 2k8 R2 64bit with WDS role and I have configured and captured a Windows 7 32bit image successfully. Everything captured fine, however whenever I attempt to deploy it back to the machine or another test machine, it is extremely slow. It took 5 hours to get past the "Expanding Windows files..." section and another 2 hours to get past the rest afterwards. I never injected any drivers into the image and was just doing a bare bones copy for testing. I have imaged with other software (Partimage is not Ghost, etc) and speeds were normal (about 30-40 min). I am farely new to WDS imaging, but this is not practical if it takes so long to deploy. …

I'm looking for ideas for an efficient backup plan. Situation: 1. I have a Windows 7 Professional laptop that has a lot of data that needs to be backed up. A full backup will take ~18 hours even with an eSATA III connection. 2. Not many files change in a day. 3. A file-based backup cannot work because I have huge .VMX and PST files which change every day. 4. I didn't find anything 3rd party that makes sense other than perhaps Acronis Advanced Workstation with block-level deduplication for ~$137.
