I had a RAID1 mirror system on a Dell XPS 435 that refused to power up - Dell replaced the motherboard but on booting it came up on a black screen with mouse cursor and constant disk activity. Various reboots etc and it showed something like 'replacing incorrect security id with default...for file nnnn' for a few hours, but even when it finished, still went to the black screen. Dell's solution was a clean install - ie delete the partition and start from scratch. Not wanting to lose all the data on the disk I took out one disk and installed on the other. How do I change the size of the three partitions in my harddrive? My 750GB hard disk has three partitions: C, D, E, and 75GB of unallocated space, in that order left to right. I need to run 32-bit partitioning and imaging tools from a USB stick. The computer (a Samsung Slate) will only boot using UEFI. I can create a WinPE 64-bit image that boots fine but I cannot run my tools on this (WoW64 sub-system is not included in WinPE). The only solution I can think of is to create a 32-bit WinPE that can run my tools. The problem is that I cannot seem to create a UEFI compatible 32-bit WinPE image using the Windows AIK (V3.0). My Office 2010 individual programs work fine if I launch them. If I open a file on my computer, the correct application launches and works fine. My problem is that when I try to launch a document from internet explorer (clicking on a document, excel file, or other Office doc from an email) the Office - Activate / Purchase / User Office Starter pop-up screen appears. How do I get rid of this? What is causing it? Hi All, Good Evening to all. I am frequently facing a problem. I am using a windows xp with sp2 machine which has been joined into a particular Active Directory Domain. Now the PC is frequently disjoined from domain and joined into workgroup.So I joined the same PC again to the domain. But if I lock the system using ctrl+alt+delete then I could not able to login again and throwing an error "Domain Controller is down or unavailable, contact your administrator". I am running an HP Pavilion a1129n desktop with wireless connection to internet via a D-Link DWL-G122 USB adapter. If I need to restart the computer (e.g. after an update) the adapter is no longer recognized - I have to unplug it and plug it back into the USB port before it is "seen" - but then everything works fine, connectivity is good. If I actually shut the computer down, and then reboot, the adapter is seen, no problem, and connectivity established. Anybody got any ideas why? I can live with it, but it's odd behaviour.
